It doesn't matter, the fact is Aaron was the only guy that could deliver the impossible to Devante, what they had was unique and magic. Jimmy G is NOT Aaron and that's a risk Devante had to know he was taking when leaving. Devante will ultimately not be close to the receiver he made himself in Green Bay WITH Aaron. IMO

Jimmy G got Davante the ball all game against the Steelers with 13 receptions for 172 yards and 2 TD. Problem was he looked for Davante way too much and threw 3 interceptions which killed their chances of winning.
"Jimmy's doing the best he can" is the most honest evaluation of his talent that ive ever heard. The raiders would be a good team if they had a guy. Jummy is jot the answer

Me and my buddies were just saying this, a Rod used davante to perfection damn near. The raiders run him as a decoy way too often for somebody else to be getting the target. Especially against the packers, he was out there jogging because he knew he wasn’t getting the ball
See. Josh McDaniels really isn't that great. Rodgers gave you all the playbook on how to use Davantae, and guess what's going to happen next week - McDaniels will misuse him again. Belicheck is nothing without Brady. McDaniels is nothing without Belicheck. Rodgers probably coached up more plays for Davantae here than McDaniels did with him for 1.5 years.
Rodgers is just like: “Hey that’s my friend! It’s sad to see his talent wasted! Here’s how he should be used.”
And the Raiders are either taking notes or being idiots and not listening.
A QB knows his receiver and vice versa, especially when they’ve developed so much on-field chemistry and off the field friendship like Aaron and Davante have. Aaron didn’t get along with most of his teammates. But Davante was his rock in Green Bay. Those two were just electric.

I already knew what A Rod was going to say bc I said the same exact thing last night during the game. If they were going to bracket him the whole game then how does Josh not have him in the slot or have him in motion the whole game?! I don’t remember seeing him in motion 1 time last night. As a Bears fan I’ve seen him play his whole career. I’ve seen him used very effectively. So as a fantasy owner I’m obviously going to know if he’s being mismanaged. And for this to be a get back game only makes it more ridiculous. Every single Raider should’ve known and wanted their brother to get some back last night and the coach and qb should’ve made it happen according to the game plan. I had my matchup won by Thursday so I didn’t need him last night. But it was concerning watching how bad they did their best player. Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson so later when I do need him, they won’t pull no bs like that again.
Agreed. First game Carr and Adams played together, adams had 20 targets. And adams was dominant for the entire season last year.

It's different when you have Jacoby Meyers who will have softer coverage because of Adams. Adams never had the same level of help on the other side with Hollins, Lazard, etc.

This offense basically ran Randy Moss out of New England. They used him to run off a corner and a safety so they run those shallow crossing routes, better known as legal pick plays that look natural, but are not. This is what’s happening in Vegas now, so he wants out! Josh McDaniel won’t change what he believes in, so the Raiders should let him go!
But Jakobi Meyers needs his targets too though
Just trade Davante to the Jets in time for Aaron's comeback so he has a QB who understands him and can utilize his talent to its maximum potential. Jimmy G seems to have more chemistry with Jakobi anyway since they were on the Patriots together.
Problem is Jimmy Can not fit the ball in places that Aaron Rodgers can.
And Raiders have a terrible O-Line

I don't think Rodgers really watched the game. In as much detail as he is making out. Devante was targeted quite a lot. And through to way more than 4 times.
The Raiders' O-line is playing as bad as I've seen in recent memory, and Jimmy G can't buy time with his feet like Rodgers to let Davante's routes develop. Add that to McDaniels being inflexible about everything having be perfectly on-time and as drawn up, and this is what you get.
Davantes open, but i dont know of the raiders have a qb that can get it to him, very unfortunate for both parties.

They definitely had games like that, too. Adams was targeted 20 times against Pittsburgh so DA not being targeted in their offense shouldn't even be up for discussion.
That’s now 2 games in a row with 5 or less targets . They are blatantly not throwing him the ball. Diggs gets doubled and still has 10 catches . It’s Jimmy Gs fault no way around it
