This song isn't difficult, imo the hardest part is all the little variations of the fill-in during the verse. They're all a little different and it's tough to memorize them all perfectly and when to play each one

for me this is a very nice song for a beginner to enter the world of flea. it has parts that are very flee like (the harder fills) but the chorus is quick to lean and this allows you to already play the song and have fun, still struggle on the fills but slowly get to them by repeating.

saltychicken1 the fact that you are going from a high up D note and then going down to a low F. Plus John kicks in distortion too. It sounds thinner, because they both go from embellishing full chords into just playing 5ths (power chords) with the bass note.

Hey, at 30 seconds in instead of 8th fret E can you just go to 3rd fret A? (easier for my smaller hands, when I go for the E it creates fret buzz)

Hello. It is grace note. You should play it like little decoration for main note. Play It shortly and before main note.
But if we talk about this moment in song you can play it like two 16th notes. Flea play it this way, you can hear it in bass track.
