I love Iron Factory the most out of all the 3p legends scale manufacturers. This figure has a great design in concept and I can see where they were trying to go but this feels like a figure by a completely different company. Even the paint that was on there didn't have the usual Iron Factory cleanliness to it. Makes me wonder if they have a new designer and/or engineering team or if this wasn't designed in house by their usual crew.
Thumbs up for the Bobby Sausage Fingers experience! I had the same problem. But I still like the figure. The alt mode isn't great, but IF figures rarely have spectacular alt-modes. People that collect Iron Factory for the alt-modes are the same people that get excited when McDonald's brings back the McRib😁 . There is a trick to getting those back panels to slot into the legs too. As far as the size goes, I think they made him smaller because he's supposed to be a mini-bot. I do find it pretty incredible that they managed to fit so much complexity into such a tiny package.

What bothers me is the way IF handled the arm sections, the wings are sexy by themselves but with big ass white chunks underneath, meh... (I bought this anyway, a great piece for my IF collection).
The alt mode is always suggestive and the hands are always showing, IF engineering is out of date and in my opinion they either evolve or fade away. I don't own the older IF models so I can't talk about those but I don't like the IF TF action figures that are being released for the past 3 years. Some of those samurai inspired IF TF action figures look good and I already bought the first three so I will keep buying those but only until I'm tiered of suggestive modes with the hands and the feet hanging out. Merry Christmas everyone. I got mine a little while ago and really love it. But even I have to agree that some of the tolerances are off and the transformation process is annoying. I however love the aesthetics of both the bot and alt mode and after a few conversions I got the hang of the transformation too (don't need to stress plastic either as far as I remember). Keep in mind though that I love me my minimally painted bots, so your mileage will vary.
I feel like they're throwing their best and brightest design wise towards the samurai line. Personally I'm in just because I'm in on Seaspray and Beachcomber. Can't have those 2 without the third minibot(where's Cosmos)
Thanks for the review. Sad that this is not up to Iron factory standers of paint. All their figures are always painted great to bad this one is not. Looking forward to your next Iron factory review. The wings up top like you said in the begining of the video look more G1 ish to me.
My main gripe with this guy was the hands. Making the weapons fit both him and the larger 5mm port figures was completely unnecessary, and the slots just look strange. With regards to their visibility in alt mode: “Surely there’s a better way they could have done that” were my thoughts EXACTLY. Otherwise I quite enjoyed him, he‘s fun to mess with and the transformation isn’t too bad once you’ve done it a couple of times. Whatever your thoughts on the jet mode are, you can’t deny that it’s an improvement over their EX20 Seeker jet mode!
I love iron factory, but this was an easy pass for me. Thanks for the review! I appreciate the honest look. Sometimes I get a bit exhausted by overly positive reviews. Favorite quote: “(under breath) why do you hate me?” This one was begging for a Duran Duran reference!
I'm a simple man. I see a new Transformers review by Mr Skullface, I will click it! Two points: First off, marry Christmas to you and your family sir! I hope you are all well and staying safe during these insane times. Second, I was looking forward to this new offering of Powerglide! I liked the pictures of the robot mode and was looking forward to see how the alt mode turned out. Now after watching this review.... I'm going to pass. Between the arms that don't peg in and secure in robot mode, how fiddly all the robot kibble is, and most shamefully, that transformation, I've lost interest in this figure. But thank you Bobby Skullface for an honest review! That I appreciate much more then weather or not a figure lives up to my expectations.
Is it me, or has Iron Factory been on a downward direction since their IDW Super Ultra Magnus? Especially with their new samurai direction they have been going in?
Are Iron Factory getting a little carried away with the intricacies of their transformations? I feel they've worked for the most part because they do simple very well.
I have this in hand and after the first transformation I thought it was pretty easy and fun to flip back and forth. It looks like a lot in the video but once ya get it it ain't bad.
Yeah man. This is not in their upper tier of figures for sure. He does look cool from certain angles (mainly the bot mode), but it's but a fun toy. I didn't want to taint your review by giving you my feelings beforehand. Haha!
This feels more like an Energon Skyblast than a Powerglide. Bot mode is okay if you dig the look but that jet mode is rough. Side note: The A-10 and the SR-71 are the coolest planes to ever exist. If your character is already one of those iconic planes, why would you take that away and replace it with a messy, made up, plane shaped thing?

Powerglides' straight narrow glider wings is part of his look, really dislike his alt mode. Doesn't look like anything.

That's a weak effort from IF, not their usual standard at all. Kinda makes me think IF have been too comfortable in their own lane for too long.
This is one of the worst IF releases
I dont like any of the ironfactory legends bots. I have the mirage. Hate it.
The other companies just got better.

I think their samurai stuff is their best stuff.
I think they should’ve revisited this one because it was supposed to be an older release, just a very delayed release
