This is the second level for the Project GoldenEye mod by CrzChris4. There are no more releases to it currently, but they're still actively working on it. Instead of running through the level this time, I tried to go for headshots through most of it. Sadly I couldn't save the last hostage as he was shot rather quickly after I opened the door and shot the other enemy.
You can also see some changes they've done to the guns like the shotgun, where it now reloads every shot instead of both type of shotguns being automatic.
As I said before, this is the second and last level for now from this mod, which I have to say I'm really enjoying and can't wait for the full release whenever it comes out and that I'll cover it for sure.
This is being played through with an emulator and a 60FPS patch with mouse & keyboard controls.

This would've been a perfect level idea for a Die Another Day game since Q had a VR gadget in the film.
This mod is looking fantastic so far, can't wait for more levels. :D
Wow, absolutely crazy run - you've beaten my best time and that's coming from one of the level's developers! I definitely wasn't expecting you to beat the Secret Agent cheat time by a full two minutes on a harder difficulty setting. Props for killing the guard running towards the alarm in the courtyard before he could activate it. I also laughed at the shotgun kill. I was unsure if you were going to show the sidequest involving the armory as it really has nothing to do with any of the level's objectives.
Happy to see a lot of people are enjoying the mod so far. We can't wait to bring you future updates and levels.
Thanks! I wanted to make sure to show off everything (Or at least everything I could) from the mod, so that included the sidequest and the shotgun modifications, which I really enjoyed!

Lol as I was watching the video I thought there was going to be a big boss fight or horde fight or something when he went into the armory and got all the weapons, my time playing and mapping for other retro games like Doom and Quake has gotten me very wary of these type of situations :D
At first I thought this was an actual VR level for GoldenEye but then it's just the scenario Bond is put through with amazing attention to detail. Amazing how you're able to navigate the maze-like corridors and rooms with ease. Just thinking about it, the idea of GoldenEye 007 on VR would be interesting :)
That was epic. Seems like the creator is going in for a story driven campaign lol :)
This could have been another N64 title, an expansion or sequel.

It's a full campaign mod like Alfredo Lamberra, so it'sn ot the same game. It has different stats for guns too, and names as you can see.

Could you tell me what graphics plugin and settings you are using on this run? I've just downloaded the modded 1964 emu + 60fps version for goldeneye, but I'm struggling to get the excellent clarity on the fonts that you have - many thanks if possible
To use the HD fonts you must use Glide64 'Final' (Not GLideN64 or Jabo's). Keep in mind it requires a nice CPU and graphics card to run fine overclocked at 60fps.

I wonder if CrzChris4 (the creator of both this map and its predecessor, Return To Arkhangelsk) ever made a third level in the series? He seemed to have a decent story going but perhaps he's taking his time with continuing it until he perfects everything?

He already made one custom level called "Pollution". ;)
You know how to make levels? Make one set in Pennsylvania and the weapon you have to use is the DD89 Vector, a suppressed smg that fires faster than any gun in the actual game and has the damage of a KF7 but the accuracy of the p90.

Usually before doing the real recording I play through the custom levels several times, then record it. So yeah, usually my memory is really fresh on where the enemies are when I record.

separate silencer? cool. Is that an unused thing? Also this uses all the real life gun names. Is that from beta stuff or just a decision? But the shotgun isn't it seems.
It's an unused thing, the item exists in-game but it's never used in the original game. The names are just changed by the mod's creators.

It's meant to recreate the shotgun pump action, so that's why it reloads every shot.

Yeah, custom levels are installed into a default GoldenEye ROM with XDelta patches. They can be played on emulators or real hardware with an EverDrive-64 or similar.
