Hey Phil. Thanks for covering our acoustic single this week! Not gonna lie, I got a good chuckle out of your guys' reaction there 😂 we are not breaking up hahah but I can see how it can be interpreted that way . My girlfriend thought the same thing about the lyrics 😂😂😂 great episode
Under the threat of gnome impalement I thought I'd better clarify a few things. The 'Equilibrium' album was self released digitally Halloween 2023 and then released on physical format by Sliptrick Records on Halloween 2024. The band name is a merging of deity and thesis. We just uploaded a lyric video for 'Beckon Tragedy' this week. The writing of album number 2 is very near completion. Cheers lads DD
Good stuff man. It has been a mad year for the scene. We've generally covered ten per week and I've been going through cancer treatment that has left me seriously fatigued. I've powered through and no idea what I've said for the past two months, but we're gaining subs and getting a solid viewership that's helping bands/projects reach new people. Which is great. I don't know where the old O'Reilly inspired Faulty Towers reference came from, but sure if it got a laugh... Best of luck with the new stuff. We'll be here to support you when it drops.
I cannot agree more with the statements regarding AI. You just can't pay everyone. I've funded The Leviathan on my own (from it's rebirth) and music production is.....expensive. Having to then spend on things like videos really isn't in the budget for me! So I take a DIY approach to this element, and I have used AI to create video assets. Personally I'd rather spend on the thing that gives me artistic integrity as a musician....which is the production of the music itself. In an ideal world. We'd be using artists for everything, but the fact is that (like a lot of other bands/artists) I have Champagne aspirations and a lemonade budget haha! Another awesome episode lads! Jim
