As a JSU fan, I would've rather to go to the FCS playoffs but unfortunately ESPN has the SWAC and the MEAC by contract to send their conference champion to the Celebration Bowl for at least 4-5 more years and with the Conference Championship happening so late, that made it impossible. If it wasn't for that, JSU would've gotten in the FCS playoffs before FAMU did. I would like the SWAC to somehow get out of the contract or at least make it optional whether the conference champion wants to go to the Celebration Bowl or compete for a national championship.

It’s going to take a while. Jackson State (HBCU Champions) lost their only game this year to ULM 12-7 who’s ranked 114 in FBS. However, Deion had the best FCS recruiting class last year and this year so if he keeps recruiting like he has been Jackson State will be FBS ready in 2-3 years
I expect that this young man will put up essentially no stats related to ball hawking and that is good. If some one tells out there is a gator in the pond, you stay outta the pond! That being said, I expect other DBs to get tested constantly and see their numbers improve as they have to lock it down. He probably will have monster numbers in tackles.
