    With rumination i have found from i have learned to stop trying to stop it and to just let it do its own thing that it is beginning to release and i feel a good bit better. You can lead a normal life and still have the anxiety coming in. Bit by bit the anxiety reduces until as Dr Claire Weeks said it no longer matters.

      Exactly, because the more time we dedicate to figuring our thoughts out, the more it will latch. We can carry on with our day, while also taking the time to look at our core fears.

    When I was chronically stuck for me a big rumination topic was "is this actually fear? This doesn't feel like fear" I'd be persisting to get my rational brain to say "yes, you're feeling fear right now" certainty trap

    Ruminating and Confession are what I’m struggling with right now. I told my roommates about my OCD and honestly I’m freaking out about the fact that I didn’t over-explain or try to ask them what their thinking. It’s hell

      Hold yourself back on trying to over explain and clarify because the conversation can keep going on and on. OCD will always make you feel like there's more to be said.

    I am not indulge in any ocd compulsion l had ocd l did recovery work l was satisfied with my recovery now what l am facing imiges continuesly it produce a lot of discomfort l feel unreal the world is it ocd ?? When l sleep at thet time my mind sends a lot of images l don't know how to ERP for this situation 😑😑 please help

      Hey Nimrah. The exposure for intrusive images is to continue on and wear them everywhere, decrease all avoidance behaviors surrounding them. In time we change our perception surrounding images from, "These images are absolutely horrible to - Even if I experienced these images forever it's not 100% horrible, but very frustrating."
