We use a Sennheiser wireless mic system that we got from Sweetwater some years ago. Because the venue is different every show, the available clear frequencies are different. The Sennheiser really helps - the receiver will scan for a "free" channel. Once it finds one, you then link the transmitter to the receiver (with a single button push) and the mic switches to that same clear frequency. Simple, and it Just Works. We couldn't be happier with this system! It's robust and reliable.

I stumbled across this video while searching for a solution for my issue. Maybe you can help me with it. I have an AKG Ultra High Frequency wireless mic set up. It works fine, but when I turn the microphone off at the microphone, there is all kinds of static and popping going through the speakers. Also, if I leave the microphone on for very long (over 2 minutes) the sound no longer transmit (we cannot hear it through the speakers). Once I turn the microphone off (at the mic) I get the static and popping noise again. I've changed batteries in the mic, so that's not the issue. Any idea as to what is causing this popping noise?

Do we Have Mics That Capture signal at a distance of over 200 meters away? All I know off is a boom mic that can do about 20 feet away.

I have a 4 Channel Phenyx Pro system and it cuts out so much. It’s quite frustrating because I’ve tried everything.

Hi Mitch. Thanks for this informative video. We keep expriencing VERY LOUD (speaker blowing loud!) static/distortion when the receiver is on and the mic (transmitter) is turned off. It is'nt all the time, but it happens more often than we'd like. I know that it's directly related to how much RF interference there is on that particular channel. I've tried to change the frequencies, but we can only do so much, because our frequency options are very limited on each mic. Our mics are Sennheiser EV100 G3 wireless (500Mhz), purchased from Sweetwater. any advice would be appreciated.

While the fm mic was being used there was some kind of a big popping sound at the main speakers,,can it be due to signal interference?
