San Mai Bowie: Forge Welding A Laminate Blade

This is the start of a neat project. I'm combining 75 layer Damascus and a piece of 80CrV2 steel to create a super tough and neat looking Bowie knife for my granddad.

That Bowie is going to be a sweet knife when you're done. Can you give away what handle material you're going to use on it? or do I just need to keep watching?
I might be in the market for a hatchet. I noticed on your web site there are none listed but said coming soon. Any ideas on price yet?
