You guys have the BEST attitude I've ever seen from hockey fans just putting personal bias aside and realizing you are witnessing greatness that is sure to be along time before we ever see someone as great as McDavid is again . Wins and loses are sure to come it's part of life but guys like him will always be fun to watch no matter the final score
Everyone around us was just so happy to see history! These are stories we will tell our grandkids!
@@benmcgreevysports listen I am much older than you guys and at 13 Steve Yzerman was my fav player I went to see the wings planned to make a plaque at woodshop with his name told my woodshop teacher who helped me thinking no way I would get it to him at the bus door entrance he went to pass me I handed him the plaque he walked up the stairs looked back and motioned for me to walk onto the bus so I did and wings coach Jaques Demers at the time handed his hotdog to me to sign my i was just impressed seeing him live.like.yoi guys with McDavid that was in 1989 I believe and I'm still telling it to this day you guys are humble and see life the most important angle everything that's positive is good . I hope you guys do move videos I'll be checking I appreciate.these.kinds.lf videos 2 guys going to a hockey game expecting.nothing for the home team supporting them to the fullest anyway (preds jersey with McDavid on the back) and leaving smiling realizing your expierenced top level hockey in front.of you eyes

My wife and I travelled from Edmonton to Nashville for this game. I actually was in your video during warmups standing next to the German flag across the ice. We as Oilers fans are incredibly fortunate to be able to watch these two superstars night after night. I was really impressed by how hospitable the Preds fans were towards us Oilers fans even though the score was as lopsided as it was. It was a trip that I will remember for years to come. Cheers!

love the acceptance of the inevitable. As a Canucks fan I got to see Gretzky do this to the Canucks for years. It was not fun but impressive to be sure.

I did some research and found out that the Preds are 0-7-1 against the Oilers with Hynes as coach. They were 14-1-0 against them in 5 years with Laviolette as coach. That's eye dropping to me.

I WAS SO SAD! I saw him winding up and I started to turn on the camera, but it happened so fast I could't get it rolling in time! The second I saw he was getting that pass I verbally said "oh no... this is a goal." And then it HAPPENED!

It's not normally this quiet! It's been a rough year in Nashville for the team. Nashville actually averages around 100.9% attendance (based on ticket sales).

Seriously though, you do need to laugh at it. As has been pointed out by others, the Wild do the same thing to the Oilers. The players need to take it seriously but it’s fine as fans to just revel in the absurdity of it.

@@benmcgreevysports As good as Kaprisov and Zuccarello are, it’s probably more entertaining and more understandable to lose to McDavid and Draisaitl, so Nashville fans have a leg up on Oilers fans in that regard.

Great players but they're still just one line on a team that needs three more if they plan on winning anything of note. McDavid needs to move.
It's a sad thing that they don't have a bit more depth! Maybe they will make a couple of moves at the deadline!
I mean no they're not TOO good the Oilers still aren't a great team and they don't play elite defense, but they're the best offensive forwards in the league for sure

Jack Campbell is not a terrible goaltender. Has he been good, no, but the Edmonton defense has been atrocious so far this season. Jack Campbell has been better in his recent games.
I have to ask, what's with the mediocre attendance? That arena looks no where near full.
You're right! He didn't have an A plus night on this night for sure, but normally he is pretty solid!
Fans are getting low key revolting against the management right now (or at least, that's what it feels like). They feel like they've been watching the same garbage year after year with a general manager who has been in the game for 40 years and has never won a cup. John Hynes has them playing a system that is BY FAR the most boring thing in the NHL to watch. The Predators make the Coyotes look like a fun team!

Agreed, I think Dallas is also co-owner of the Oilers along with Minny. For whatever reason, those 2 teams always have the Oilers number.
