I’m a medical transporter which is still in the same line of work as we transport people on stretchers as well. This is actually unfortunately quite common and it’s really agitating. The level of entitlement people feel that they have is sickening. You definitely have to have self restraint with these kinds of jobs because people won’t respect the fact that you’re transporting someone on the brink of death or in general

I am an EMT and unfortunately this is extremely common. I gotten yelled at and almost punched by people wanting us to move in an emergency. People understand that if we are not moving right away it’s because we are probably stabilizing the patient for transport.
I am so so sorry you have to deal with people like that. I was in a biking accident when I was 17 and the EMT's helped keep me awake after realizing how severe my concussion was. You guys are amazing. Thank you for all your hard work!

Guess what, I’m a first responder who started working as an EMT on an ambulance then moved into the fire service. We deal with this exact type of person daily across the country and I imagine globally. To do our jobs takes an unmeasurable amount of patients with people who constantly poke and jab at us trying to get us to lose our cool for whatever their reasons are.

First responders try to stabilize the patient before transport if possible. Just because they're working on the person there does not mean it's not a critical injury or the patient isn't in shock, etc. Harassing them while they are caring for an injured person should warrant arrest. They're trying to save someone's life FFS. I really hope this went viral so everyone knows what a POS person she is!

Guess what, I’m a first responder who started working as an EMT on an ambulance then moved into the fire service. We deal with this exact type of person daily across the country and I imagine globally. To do our jobs takes an unmeasurable amount of patients with people who constantly poke and jab at us trying to get us to lose our cool for whatever their reasons are.
I feel so sorry for you all EMS Ambulance, Police Firef and security guards we all have to put up with these idiots . Wish this virus would wipe out all these selfish ,uncaring idiots only think of themselves

First responders try to stabilize the patient before transport if possible. Just because they're working on the person there does not mean it's not a critical injury or the patient isn't in shock, etc. Harassing them while they are caring for an injured person should warrant arrest. They're trying to save someone's life FFS.
