I love this ! I just got a job as an ER nurse so I can get my experience in. I just like looking at different options and perspectives ! I know you don’t want to recommend anything but I’ve always thought Of laser and just didn’t know if it actually worked and removed hair for a long time … when I used to get waxed the woman would say people who did laser still got waxed so she kind of dented my thought of it.
It totally depends on the person. If you have fair skin and dark hair, you’re a great candidate. You need to find a laser nurse willing to crank up the machine to a high energy. People who don’t get it turned up high enough will have hair grow back. You have to traumatize and permanently burn the follicle. Go somewhere with a diode laser with DCD. It blows a blast of cold air with ever laser shot and then you don’t feel it. Also, make sure you get the full 7-10 sessions. Doing just a few will temporarily thin your hair. You want long term permanent results, so you have to really traumatize those hair follicles. It’s amazing what it can do and after 2-3 times lasering myself I’ve already had a 40% reduction in hair, but I use the highest setting possible as I’m super fair skinned.
@@AmyBales this is amazing advice. Thank you so much!!
Omg I love this longer vlog and how you’re talking to the camera instead of just voiceover! Would love to see more of this❤️
I finally got a camera mount for my car! It helps so much. I need to connect my microphone to it because the road noise was intense and I couldn’t edit it out as well as I had hoped. Thanks so much for the encouragement! ♥️🥰
I don’t start my core classes of nursing school until next year but your videos get me so excited. I already can’t wait to be done 🤣
you look Soo relaxed compare to when you was working at the hospital.. what advice do you recommend to single parent going to nursing school? any tips
It’s so much easier for sure to be an aesthetic nurse. I highly recommend it. As for nursing school, it was hard with a baby but I focused on the flexibility I would have at the end and begged my family to drive hours to help every once in a while. I brought my son to a lot of things, all zoom classes etc.
@@AmyBales Thank You For Your Advice I Truly Appreciate it.. ♥️💯
In love with your new videos! I want to be an aesthetic nurse and this insight is my fave! (:
This means so much! I’m so glad you like it 🥰
Very cool to see a day in the life of a cosmetic nurse!
I love to see that’s it’s pretty busy so the day goes by fast. This is my dream job
That baby is the cutest.
I’m biased but I agree 🥰♥️
I love your job :)
I'm also a cosmetic/aesthetic nurse.
I recently just found your videos im not tryna go in for cosmetic nurse but i am tryna go for esthetician to work in med spa
I miss your videos ❤️ would love to see more on aesthetic nursing
Can you make a video about Kybella? Like what it is, how it works, and maybe show your before and after :))) I’ve always wanted to try it but I’m a little scared haha. And great video!! I love your “day in the life videos”!!
Love your content! I’m new to this whole video making and also a new nurse.
I’m so glad you like it! Thank for the support 🥰
It’s crazy to me that people just no-show to appointments. I’ve had rare occasions where something came up and I had to cancel the morning of, but I’ve never no call/no showed. That must be annoying!
We get like 5-10 a day 😣
What are the steps to becoming a cosmetic nurse please do I take a certification in skin care or facials or just apply and see who Korean have no experience in cosmetic nursing
Can you work at a med spa without prior experience as a nursing student? Or do they prefer someone who has experience
Where did you learn to use that machines?
I live in Indianapolis, I'm also a RN looking to get into aesthetic.
I just moved from there! Best of luck, I know it’s harder to get I to that industry there but I believe in you 🥰
Do you have to do the administrative paperwork work as well? Calling insurance companies or billing clients?
Our office manager does that :)
So you get paid hourly plus commission/sales?
Hourly, 5% commission on sales and tips!
Wow that’s good
Hey Amy ! Do you make commission? Or get tips?
Love the video but question is your break really just 20 minutes? And you have to clock out for it? 🧐
30 minutes and yeah I do 😅 but honestly a guaranteed 30 minute break is amazing. In Indiana I had 12 hours shifts and never once ever had a break.
Ahaha your little guy reminds me of mine. He’s always playing “spooky ghost” lately. I was surprised that you do so many treatments in a day! Before nursing I was a spa practitioner and averaged 6/day but I guess mostly 1-1.5hr massages. I’d love to transition to aesthetic nursing but not really possible as an LPN where I live.
What are the hours that you work?
9:30-6! 🤍
@@AmyBales that's so great!! I think i will need to look for something like that once i find my feet. Would work so much better for my kids. Just starting new grad though...need to do the time on the ward first.
