Great to see this, I wish more book tubers would do their 5 star reads for the year.

I saw an interview with Sarah Waters and she said there would be another book coming out "the following summer." This was at least four years ago,

I loved Reconstructing Amelia too and I used to recommend it frequently when I worked at my library. Very underrated, in my opinion. I also enjoyed They Never Learn. There are several of your recommendations that I currently have on my TBR list. 😊

I now want to read Truth-Telling, and along those lines, I also recommend a hard-hitting but unforgettable book called Good Morning, Monster by Catherine Gildiner. It is triggering for every type of trauma, but there is also hope in these stories (as she shows how individuals have gone on to live better lives after years of therapy). One of the most interesting cases is that of an indigenous man who was removed from his family home in Canada and sent to a residential school at a young age, and how that experience affected him for years afterward. I listened to the audiobook (because it was available through Libby and the physical book was not available at my library) and it was excellent. A 5-Star read for me this year. Thank you for sharing your favorites, several of which I also enjoyed this year.

My top 3 , five star reads so far for 2023 have been Drowning by T J Newman, We Begin At The End by Chris Whitaker and We Were The Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter. A lot of your 5 star reads I have on my shelf. A few has now been put on hold at Library.

The book called 'The Measure' by Nikki Erlick spent weeks in my head after I read it. Maybe you can try it.

Have you read Robert Browning’s poem “My Last Duchess”? It is thought to be based on Lucretia’s portrait and it is creepy and terrifying. Give it a read.

All the reviews I'm seeing for how facism works are saying the author is bias which sucks smh can't find anything these days without bias views
