Decided to make a hero for my Reboot re-debut (used to have an Aran but only got it to level 194 with burning help way back then) and I was surprised at how somewhat smooth their movement was. I also so super lucky with my early items and inner ability; at lvl ~30 i got an axe with +4att and +2att. Does seem like much but since I just transfer those stats to new 2h axes up to my current 140 weapons, it is now +12att and +6att. Same with my IA, somehow I got +1 attack speed and 15boss damage in my early 100s(I think 120s i think) and boy was that super lucky of me. Though my main is on Scania, I think I'll actually try to get to 200 on my Hero the old fashion way.

Play reboot. If you’re on a normal server and you’re returning, and you’re not funded out the ass, you’re going to just end up quitting again. The normal servers are pay to win and just a gigantic unpopulated mess. Play reboot, thank me later.
I love all the explorer classes that I have tried, but these tutorials are killer. I tried to get my friend to play and hes wondering when he gets to actually play 😂😂
They are adding a skip function for all cutscenes in Ignition. They’re idiots, idk why they wouldn’t add one from the get go. Literally me avoiding making new characters because I don’t like taking 3 hours to get from 1-30.
Remastered hero went from: "i 2ndary main it some day, i-frame is fun change" (+57k stat NL perspective) -> 100% going all out secondary maining Hero, having fun and enjoying the game once again.

It depends on when Maplestory drops these kinds of events, I think one will be released in the later half of this year. Coppersan keeps you up to date normally so you will know when it happens ;)
Would you recommend a hero over a hayato? I have a lvl 210+ hayato and I love it. I know hayato vmatrix is trash, but I love the phantom blade and all the screen kills. But I do like what I see from a hero as well.
I've got a 210 hero and let me tell you hwhat, this class has the most boring mobbing. You're a God for 30 seconds when your buffs line up, but after that it's just raging blows with an occasional cd skill. Very good if you want simple and minor buttons, very strong bossing, but just so little range and mobbing. Edit: The dash is very nice inclusion for this class, but 4 seconds is very long. I think it's safe to cut that in half for the sake of keeping the class moving. That would make mobbing so much better.
i don't disagree but i think that's kind of the point. Hero, DK, and Pally all have very simple, straightforward kits. Definitely very beginner friendly classes that still carry in terms of DPS and survivability.
I agree that this is very beginner friendly. It's bossing is also pretty fun, so boss mule is a perfect position here. But as a main, doing it daily, it's a grind. And not necessarily the fun kind. You really need to love this class to enjoy it.
I would somewhat disagree. Im 226 atm and I am using raging blow, rush, rising rage, beam blade, flash blade and world reaver in a rotation and i feel like it is not boring that Way. I quit my 247 Adele cause the mobbing got to boring, the only thing you look out for is to keep your swords up, but thats just my opinion :)

When you open the skill tab you will see at the bottom right next to macro a button called 'note' you can drag your wanted skill in there and it will show show up (don't forget to turn it on afterwards)
I have to say that the class is really nice, but on a brand new account you might struggle a bit up till 3rd or 4th job. Or that is how it felt to me as a returning player. Leveled Hero this week to 140 with no link skill/legion and no funding and especially the early and just before level 100 were tough
I feel like hero is better than most unfunded class just because their final damage % make their base damage really high. If on reboot, most new player struggle to 1 shot mobs since reboot mobs have much higher hp. Hero is really strong for late game bossing too, high damage and their is one of the best in the game, allowing me to survive in situation I 100% should have died on classes with no or longer cd .
@coppersan actually you don't need to do the lv 11 thing anymore since the haven quest now provides enough EXP to bring you from lv 199 - 0% to 200. don't listen to me guys the man knows what he's doing.
Does the huge amount of final damage even mean anything? At this point most classes have their damage fairly equalized outside a few exceptions so I'd assume the actual values of the skills are lowered to compensate for the massive damage buffs.
With final damage being the final multiplier for your damage having more of it means you’ll get more damage out of other damage % stats (ex crit dmg, dmg% etc). So say you have a Kanna link for 10% damage, the final damage multiplier applies to the increased amount

Im new to maple, I trained my Hero to lvl 94. But I do for some reason only + / - 15k damage. When I want to try killing Zakum, I only do 350 damage... I improved all of my skills and stats. What am I doing wrong?
Nexon needs to let us skip that damn Explorer tutorial, I don't know why they thought that was a good idea. The whole point mechanically of Explorers was that you could just jump in and play them, but now you have a 30 minute goddamn tutorial.
Burning Blade tether range is way too short for it to be realistically used as a parked ability. Should either greatly increase/remove the tether or remove the ability to park it as a whole because the way it is now makes literally no sense.
That final damage is actually a bug. it's reading enrage twice before you get Decent Combat Orders you have 384% final damage and 406% after and 600% while using world reaver. if you notice you see the final damage fluctuate, but the damage tooltip doesn't actually change.
I feel like getting to level 11 before using the burninator is a little bit pointless only because you will require more exp at level 197-200 versus just getting to 199 and doing Haven quests for 200
I see little to no difference in hero's. Was making it my main before the uodate, but after it I had no interest. And the aesthetic and especially combo orbs look bad now :(
Erda Nova is better since most class binds are 3 minutes cd while Erda Nova is 1.5-2 minutes cd. I swap to Erda Nova on my Adele even though she has a class bind since the cd is too long compared to Erda's.
you and me both. I took the burst out of my v-matix in favor of tri-nodes for grinding, completerly forgot about it until like 222. My damage is like 4 or 5x better now that I can do a proper burst lolol
The damage buff on World Reaver lasts just about as long as the i-frames do so I use that to help properly time my invincibility

Xbowman was the smoothest leveling I've tested. Nonburning was faster then some of my burning characters

Whatever you "skills" key window is, its next to the "macro" button. Its called "Note"

They are indeed. Hero's skill dmg% are pretty low for a non huricane class
FD scaling means every new sources of stat/dmg/att give a greater relative boost compared to other classes.
With final damage being the final multiplier for your damage having more of it means you’ll get more damage out of other damage % stats (ex crit dmg, dmg% etc).

@Eresoup % damage of the actual skill is also important though, as final damage increases the end resulting damage from everything else.

if you hold up on your arrow key and then press your basic attack key, you'll trigger upward charge

The real difference is level 194 vs level 196 so the level 11 strategy still wins
you can do haven quest to get from 197 -> 200. that's why he got to 11
