How are your improvements (suggested changes to the Alstra wedge) coming along? I am interested in astrophotography. I've been a visual hobbyist for a year and used my cell phone to take a few pictures and got hooked.
Well I spent a while trying different approaches to improving it, with slightly different code, and even adding an accelerometer to measure the tilt for feedback. What I found is, instead, to make precise measurements of the built device rather than the ideal device, and use those constants in the original software. With that I got very good results for my lighter lenses, but still had some trouble on long exposures with my 18-200mm lens -- but thats quite a heavy lens. Also using a lower pitch screw drive seemed to help with the heavier lens.
Cool proyect , as i own some printers i just prints everything and came out great in black petg
DId you fashion a counter balance apparatus?
