Dragons rising is a new Ninjago series that came out last year, and it is some of the best Ninjago content we have ever gotten, with it being a fresh start which was needed as season 11-15 weren’t great.

It’s just that the show and characters felt stagnant as each seasons was just a character focused story where they go to a new location which got bland. Also, I personally really enjoy The Ice Chapter.
I agree with your takes about ai. Using it for fun is harmless. It's just how people use it for scummy adds, which is where i cross the line. Most reputable companies like chat gpt who do actual science and meaning reaserch pull from millions apon millions of images to train the programs and with so many images its almost impossible for the ai to copy an image without intent to do so but some other more shady programs may use much more limited sorces and i remember hearing a story that one didnt even use ai and just pulled the artwork directly but things lime that get called out quick.
LEGO: "We don't want to use generative AI and have policies against it." Also LEGO: "We're going to continue to explore using generative AI." So, which is it then? Are they completely disavowing AI or embracing it? It sounds like they're basically saying "we're sorry that you're upset about this," and it's kind of just a slap to the face.
Ninjago fan and artist here - honestly I’m not too upset at this. It was a one time fail, they got a bit cocky and ended up falling because of it. If it starts to become a trend or happens again, then that will become a huge issue. But honestly, they made a mistake, learned their lesson, and it seems like they won’t repeat it. Again, if they do end up repeating it, that will become a problem. The way they worded the apology was admittedly not the best, but the fact the AI generated content was removed quickly was a good move I’m not saying this should be swept under the rug or be immune from criticism, not at all. Just that as a one time and first time offense, I don’t believe drastic measures such as no longer supporting the company or quitting the fandom are necessary. If they immediately defended themselves and continued to post AI generated works, that would be another story. The situation wasn’t handled perfectly, but it was handled well. All in all, my opinions on the company honestly aren’t really swayed with this event, and I do think people are overreacting just a little bit (of course a reaction is warranted, what happened wasn’t okay, just that it seems like people are blowing it out of proportion a little bit). I've been a long-time ninjago fan, and this is very disappointing for ninjago and Lego fans 😕 and I might ditch the buying from Lego Company, and they treat ninjago fans and other licensed fans like trash
There's nothing uncreative about ai It's just a way to draw if you can't draw on your own The only trouble is when career artists get phased out but that career is kind of bogus anyway so idc
Naw Ninjago is just as good as it ever has been, Dragons Rising is bringing the series into a great new era. But I do hate that Lego used AI, as AI is an insult to all arts.

KNEW IT I saw some stuff on lego and I knew it was ai, it’s a bit disappointing because I really enjoyed legos
