Why does the video description say 'someone who really looks like Sid Vicious' when it almost surely is him? In the comments here someone has also put '5 seconds in John Lydon with long hair' but to me that's not Lydon? Neither can l see Shane MacGopwan anywhere in the clip - can somebody clarify?

I've played it back at 0.25 speed and am still not convinced. Yes, Vicious is definitely the smiling kid but the third kid who jumps up (and is freeze-framed on too) looks nothing like Lydon. Would also love to know where this footage is from? @@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse
@@TomTremayne the kid on the left who pops up is 100% Lydon with long hair not the 2nd chubbier kid who pops up in middle.

If it's Sid, in London, then it wouldn't be possible. He moved to London from Bristol aged 14 and had a different hairstyle to the fella in the clip. In fact, he had a skinhead about two years after when he started college and squatting. It's not John Lydon who pops up it can't possibly be. They didn't meet until Sid was 16 at least.

@@c0rps11 when he first moved from Ibiza with his mum. If you listen to Sid the early days on the Radio 4 programme hosted by Jah Wobble which is on TH-cam (I don't have the specific link) then Sid turns up in London from Bristol and has the piss taken out of him for his accent when he goes for a job on a building site aged about 15. Remember these are the days when people left school aged 14. So even though Mr McGowan was around in the early days as was Mr Temple they are probably mistaken about the young man in the clip. It's Def not Lydon either as his hair was green and he tended to wear specs early on. I really don't think it's Sid, you have to remember those two were shit broke as well and probably couldn't afford the entrance fee to see big acts such as Bowie, Roxy etc. I may well be completely wrong as I wasn't there and only caught a few post-punk and ska acts a few years later.
