Plus lots of international contenders that made this the sole true World Championship of Robot Combat sport as a whole. Thank you for posting the season that made me an absolute freak of this sport!
No, season 7 is the best. This was only good because the previous seasons only had 5 fights per episode so changing from 5 to 7 or 8 fights per episode was drastically felt.
@@clarkdaendels3370 I say it's the best as a turning point in the franchise, the things that season 3 teased in season 4 got completely stablish the changes in the Discovery era, which push the show into the golden age it's now. Obviously the Season 7 was the best in terms of production and competitive level, but in the matter of the execution and events happening during the tournament this was for sure one of the most important moments for the show. Nevertheless, the thing that drives me to think this was the best it's the fact in this moment most of the bots that were completely stated contenders faced off newcomers that completely shaken the things up at least until quarterfinals. Also the huge presence of international teams compared to previous seasons was a really fresh air for a competition mostly dominated by Yankees and UK people. That said, this it's not the best in the literal sense, but the best in terms of growing up and the definite expression of the changes that finally made effect that year, while previously was mostly teasing. I-I hope I explained my point better.
Nostalgic to the defunt referee there , also the fact that our favorite commentators are directly meeting up the teams with the microphone rather than the sitting screen facing interaction. pre pandemic at it's best!
I am from Mexico and I love this show so it is difficult to watch the full episodes of the other seasons so I am grateful for uploading them to TH-cam and watching these epic fights

I used to follow the show on satellite tv before the pandemic, but life got harsh and had to cut some expenses to live... having the chance of watching one of the shows that i loved as a kid and grew up with, here on youtube made my day and year! The creators of the bots should be reminded of this pre-battle, though, so they at least make their weapons less likely to get stuck and not be able to release beyond their control. Technical DQ or no-contest rule, I'd suggest. But judges should also consider the happenings before the stalemate happens, and the total battle time remaining.
This was a freak interaction of the tooth and material added by Blacksmith, they covered it fully in a future episode. It doesn't get stuck like this again afaik

I mean in my option regarding the quantum battle. If the rules say you “must” let go, and your battle bot literally cannot then I think they should be Disqualified for failing to release. Not rewarded with a free win because “they tried to release” by not sticking to the literal interpretation of the rules, any control bot can forgo the need for a release mechanism in favour of totally dominating the other bot.
That is true, if you decide to put a metal on top that clings to a piercing weapon than you should be the one to get off. Otherwise you make piercing bots useless as now people can just switch to that material for armour. They showed later in the season how hard it is to get a piercing weapon off of the armour compared to a typical aluminum top. Either change the rules or ban certain materials of a certain thickness.
1:18:39 TOMBSTONE knew what to do against that shield, use his rear of the robot to bait LOCK-JAW into a rotation to make him attack but that exposed his wheels, giving TOMBSTONE the chance to hit the wheels that shows how much experience he has to change plans fast, just wow

BTW there was a situation where the valkyrie vs ROTATOR(idk if this was the name) where this same maneuver happen wrongly because the driver of ROTATOR didn't try it on purpose to exploit the advantage of go behind to the six of your enemy.

IMO currently, in the season 7 postseasons, end game is the best battlebot. However, most powerful still goes to riptide tho, its just stability and drive issues for riptide.
Tombstone is what future AI powered combat robots will be based on. Simple, deadly, unstoppable. Add some tweaks that Balltebot rules are prohibiting and you have a real Terminator
