Hi Lisa, so glad I found your flosstube! You 'um are darling😊 I met you at Stitch West Spring in Ogden this yr. I was in love with your Stitchy Box from Sherry @creative keeps studio which I promptly ordered. You also gifted me an extra pink pattern stand you had brought as table favors....long story sorry😅 I hope to run into you at another retreat sometime. Love your FFO's and stories. Take care, Jenn
So glad to see you are back!! I love watching you!! Great job for your first flosstube on your own. Can't wait to see more. I'm a quilter too. You did a beautiful job on your first quilt top! Loved learning and hearing about your artistic background.
Welcome back to flosstube. Love your finishes, and I am looking forward to seeing more of your wips. Nice to find another stitcher who's a baseball fan. Being in Canada, I'm a huge Blue Jays fan.
Congratulations on starting your FT! You did a great job! Thank you for sharing all of your stories and beautiful stitching with us😍 My 2 favorite flosses are CCW black coffee and CCW toasted marshmallow.😊 💚Michele
I Looooved this video! Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories! I have been buying small patterns to make into pillows for a dough bowl and I bought a Juki too! I bought it right around Covid and I started to learn how to sew on it and then stopped. I need to get back to the classes. I need to learn how to use the Juki again! I thought I was the only person who has never made a pillow! Yours all came out beautiful! You are definitely inspiring me...I think I need to get Spring Chicken. So cute! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your next video! :)
I really enjoyed seeing the beginnings of your cross stitch journey! So glad you still have them! Your first solo floss tube was a success, I really enjoyed it! Just be yourself and you will be fine. I subscribed and liked .
Welcome back. Great pieces. Loved your stories of family stitching. My granny- ms. Lillian taught me I was 6. I wish I had kept all the things, but nooooo , probably at Salvation Army ( this was way before goodwill). I have continued to stitch every since off and on. I am now 72, and can only hope my two daughters will save the stuff. They both know how , but only my first daughter stitches. I have taught nieces, friends, or any one who wanted to learn. It’s a sickness of passion and I love it.
beautiful stitching. Welcome to Flosstube. My oldest daughter is a Chemistry Education Professor at UNT now and lives in Denton. That glass collecition behind you is stunning.
Lisa, I am so glad to have you back. I sure have missed your flosstubes. Was so shocked to find you under a different name, but so glad I found you. Love all your beautiful stitching and quilting. Enjoy your new Juki!
Lisa!! I’m so excited for you! And I loved hearing about your love of color and design, especially seeing your design boards! How awesome to have so making stitching influences and have their work there with you!! Loved it all! I’m still so happy you stitched the Home Alone quote, makes me happy every time I think about it!! You’re so sweet! Can’t wait to see more videos in the future. ❤
Hi Lisa!! Great to see you! Oh my, i love all that beautiful glassware you have...what treasures!! Yay for getting into quilting! I divide my time between both. Beautiful stitching!! Hope to see you at another retreat soon!! ❤
Yay, she’s back. That was a fun one. I’m so glad you’re diving into quilting. We can learn together! Love all the finishes and so glad I got to meet you and spend time with you at the Box car rereat. Hopefully, we can do it again. Look forward to your monthly videos. I am in the midst of wip parades, ufo parades and trying to get things straight with quilt tube lol. @@BlackCoffeeandGrits You are so welcome Lisa. I have some patriotic stitched pieces waiting for me to put together into a quilted wall hanging. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Lisa, I am in Fort Worth also. My hometown is San Antonio, but I have lived here most of my life. You said you love Plum Street. I love Kathy Barrick. Love that you stitched her house.
Well hello neighbor!! 💕 I love Kathy Barrick too! The house was so much fun to stitch! I picked up some more of her charts. One day I’ll get to them. I’m also stitching The Farms at Hawk Run Hollow. You’ll be able to see it in my WIP parade coming up. Thanks for watching! 🥰
I love your China hutch, it is decorated so prettily❤ And the color on your wall is gorgeous! Everyone says "um" but you are doing a great job and you're adorable!

I've been very busy! It was great meeting you at Stitch West. I hope to make it back there again. Oh YAY! A Juki for you too!! 💕 It's a great machine! Thank you so much for the compliment on my quilt. I just sent it off to be long armed. Can't wait to get it back. 🥰 Thank you for tuning in!!
Loved seeing all your finishes!! I too took the leap a year ago and bought myself a sewing machine so I could make all the pretty pillows and now I'm addicted to making project bags.... Never in a million years did I ever think I would be sewing my own project bags. I failed Home -Ec in high school, but I was bound and determined to learn how to make these. Great job on your first floss tube alone I look forward to seeing more. 🤣 you gave me a chuckle. I didn't even take Home Ec, but would probably have failed it too. But look at us now!!! Making all the things! I want to try a project bag. I watched the tutorial that Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch put out. I have some really cute fabrics.... we'll see. Maybe this week. Nice to see you again! I chatted briefly with you @ Stitch West. Love your stitchy projects and thanks for sharing. Solo? 😮 big step…. Enjoyed your background introduction. I always enjoy the back story. Hope all is well with Megan, please send my regards. ❤
Hi Lisa! When I saw the thumbnail photo on TH-cam, I was like, "Wait! Is that??" Good to see you again and all of your projects. Solo Flosstubing is different without someone to fill the silent moments. You did great. Thank you for sharing your background. We homeschool, too. I was so happy to see your video pop up! It was so nice to meet you this summer at Stitch-Con. I was part of the Texas table near your table. Love seeing all of your finishes!
Great first video! You are an awesome stitcher! Next video maybe you could share the count of the fabric you used and if it is a linen or even weave? PS….you ‘made me’ go order : ‘ Eye on the Sparrow by Silver Creek Samplers’ lol! Your’s was gorgeous! I would love to see your WIP Parade. Again great video!
🥰 Thank you so much Kathy!! Oh yes, I can certainly do my best to let you know fabric type and count next time. If there is a specific project you were curious about I don't mind looking it up.
Hi! What a wonderful Flosstube! Apparently you are a former flosstuber. I don’t think I ever caught one of your previous videos though. You’re so fun to listen to and I was completely enthralled with all your stitching. Great job on all of those. Only one negative…not that you asked. But would you consider cutting down on your ads? I’ll bet there were 20 of them easy. Maybe you didn’t realize you can control how many are shown, but I always say…right in the middle of something we’re trying to listen to, the ad interruptions show up. Sure throws me the flow off for me. I’m thinking maybe others too. Otherwise just a delightful video and I did subscribe. Thx so much!
Hey Jannie, thank you so much for tuning in! and for your encouragement! 🥰 I'm so sorry about the ads, unfortunately I can not control that feature--it's a TH-cam thing! NEW TH-camrs can not monetize their channels or control ad features until after they have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. Even then, if they choose to monetize or not, TH-cam can still put ads wherever they want to! I know they do offer TH-cam Premium which is Ad Free, but of course they do charge for that.
That’s wild cuz I haven’t seen that many ads in any TH-cam’s for a long time, new or not, except for one person. And I watch a lot. So I’m surprised to hear that. Thx for explaining it.
Thanks Brook!! I'm going to be hanging and placing all those finsihes around the house today. It's so fun to stitch, but also so awesome to be able to admire the finished product. 🥰
Loved the episode. I am in Little Elm, just moved up from Austin. Are there any local stitchy groups up this way? Love the channel name! Looking forward to the next show.
Hey Kim! There is a Sit and Stitch group that meets at Boxcar Quilts up in Aubrey on the first Wednesday of every month and I think a Saturday once a month too... check out their website. Boxcarquilts.com Also, there are lots of small groups that meet around the area. Check out DFW Cross Stitchers on Facebook. I'm sure there are some in Frisco too! BEST WISHES on finding a stitching group! 💕 and thank YOU!

I'm so happy to see you back! What happened to your sidekick?
🥰 Thank you Becky! We're doing our own thing these days 💕
@@BlackCoffeeandGrits awesome, thank you. I will check them out
Great first. Video Lisa !!! Loved all of your finishes. My lifelong regret is not learning to sew.....Your work is beautiful. The retreat mat is adorable....Looking forward to your next video... Happy Stitching..Pam😊
🥰 thank you so much Pam!
Do you know the name of the little boy on the tricycle and matching girl pattern by chance?
@@tinainglima let me look and see if I have it in my stash! 💕
@@tinainglima I didn’t have it but I found them online! They are Sultana Kits. “Boy on Bike” and “Girl with Doll” 💕
I prefer "ums" over "like, like, like"
🤣 Hopefully I wasn't like, like, liking.
Could u please give the numbers for the black coffee and grits.
Classic Colorworks Black Coffee CCT-04. Weeks Dye Works 1092 Grits. 🙌🏻
You look so familiar and I know I have heard your voice before. Did you have another FlossTube ?
Hi Patty! Yes, I was part of The Sassy Southern Stitchers.
@@BlackCoffeeandGritsAre you and Megan going to still do floss tube on the other channel.
@@phronsiejones339 No we will not.
I was so happy to see your video! Love your flosstube name! I was literally stitching with Black Coffee while I was watching you~ and didn’t realize it. 😂 Enjoyed seeing your finishes and Woo Hoo!! Congratulations on your first quilt top!! You did a wonderful job! Cozy Up fabric is gorgeous! I enjoy quilting as much as I enjoy cross stitch. Primrose Cottage has a free Friday quilt pattern every month in their newsletter. 🧵✂️❤️
Oh thank you so much Kim! I had forgotten that about Primrose Cottage, because it didn't really pertain to me, but I will start paying attention to it! 💕
