I'm sorry, but $400,000 is STILL TOO HIGH for a basic house, especially the ones that are less than 1,000 square feet.

400k look at 34275 home start from 330 even! $250 for square feet is a very good price actually 😉

Sarasota is a great area I used to live right on main Street when I was renting a condo complex before covid had gotten so bad and now the whole area is trying to be a mini Miami by building up multi-million dollar high-rise condos or mcmansions on small plots of land in the city, I think personally people should not come to Sarasota at all until everything gets sorted out with the taxes / utility bills / insurance / condo fees since the locals cannot keep up with the ever-growing demand and a lot of the out-of-state people that came here that bought a majority of the properties are leaving since they've come to terms that being up north is better than being down south due to the rise of trying to replace the materials of the homes which will break your wallet and either have to do a foreclosure or just leave entirely

I think the longterm average inflation adjusted price of a home in the US is 169k. The average now is 400k. Something has got to give.

Because mortgage rates are high simply as is. This market for buyers is advantageous and mostly for Cash buyers. They don't care about rate. But if you want to live in the best area such as Sarasota now is the right time to buy and refinance later. Think as investors not retail! 😊

Informative, somewhat sugarcoat, no mention of red tide and dead fish.

@@JimHaugh-ye1xl red tide is not a reason people are selling their homes. It is literally the smallest little inconvenience that people on the Internet blow up. The only people who really care about red tide are vacationers who can’t enjoy the beach for their one week trip everyone else just sees it as a natural inconvenience.

@@ZachPayneSarasotaRealEstate Its not minor if you fish. Repeated red tides are really decreasing the fish populations.
