  • The Jungle Cruise "Island Taxi Cargo" was ordered to be destroyed but slipped out the back door at Disney World. It has tons of Disney Imagineering detail that is perfectly preserved!

    Really great video! My brother tipped me off to it because I painted it along with another Imagineer artist. It has held up since 1995 when we transformed its shiny paint job into a crusty old island truck. So glad it has survived all these years! My initials are on is somewhere.

    Shifter in middle is neutral.Back is 1st.Left pedal is forward,and you must hold it to the floor.Middle pedal is reverse.Right pedal is the brake.Once you get going,you let off the left pedal and shift to High,and put your foot to the floor on the left pedal again.At the steering wheel;the left lever is timing,right lever is fuel/rpms.=throttle.Put both levers all the way up and start.Then move left lever down to about 10 o'clock,and throttle down a little until rpms are good.There's 'drivers ed'in a nutshell for a Model T.

      Walt destroyed thousands of buildings in order to build new things. Contrary to what you believe He wasn’t against destroying perfectly useful/cool things in order to have new and better stuff. I think it’s cool, I definitely would of seen this truck in my years going to Disneyland as a kid so I think it’s cooler than scrap.

    Makes no sense. There is literally thousands of Disney fans who would love to have this truck. If Disney can’t store it, and needs it gone, literally anyone would have offered to buy it. It could be a broken toilet seat. Just the fact that it was a part of Disneyland is enough for certain fans to want to buy.

    I thought I heard the truck had almost zero hours on it... or was that the repaired (rebuilt?) engine? That begs the question of where it spent the first 70+ years of its life? (besides out west where there's no snow or rust)

    • @SquishyZoran
      @SquishyZoran ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A model T isn’t like a regular car,the pedal on the right is your brake, the middle is your reverse and the one on your left Is more or less your clutch. In for low, middle for neutral and out for high. It also appeared to have a 2 speed rear end so away from you would be high range and towards you would be low. Throttle is on the wheel

Advance and retard on the steering wheel, drives almost opposite of in terms of pedal (and hand break/clutch use) among many other things you need to know hi gear low gear ect. I also taught myself 3 on the tree when I bought my first classic car…
