Thanks for this. We were ignored and shunned as well for "leaving Pentecost." Weird thing is, I haven't. I'm just not in their little bubble any more.

THANK YOU FOR NOT BASHING THE UPC!!! I left in 2008, but I don’t want to bash them in any way!!!!!!! Yes, there’s things I don’t agree with. Yes, we were ghosted by many. But yes, it taught me so much as well!!! So, thank you!

My husband and I just left our local UPCI church. Neither of us grew up in the organization, but we had attended for 7 years. Some of the loveliest people you would ever meet, but ultimately, we don't agree on big issues such as oneness and their plan of salvation, and to a lesser extent, the holiness standards.

UPCI has so much to offer spiritually and guidance of Holy Spirit but yet indirectly run GOD fearing Believers off….BTW: Yeshua Jesus came to show us The Father and to do away with sin and death….From a Former UPC member.

    Steven,
This video really touched me. As someone who is exploring outside of Oneness circles, I can relate.

My pastor left upc about 10 years ago. We still have people that abide by the old standards for lack of a better word. Still baptized in Jesus name holy ghost still flows. I ask my pastor when we left upc. what is going on. He told me I am going to left husband be the priest of his house not be the pastor be the priest of every house from the pulpit.

something that hasn't been discussed, do you still believe the doctrine, acts 2:38 for salvation, holiness of living, if so, why did you leave.

at the end you discussed doctrine, do you believe just accept the lord and you will be saved,?? Because Biblically speaking that is not the truth. There can't be multiple truths, what is correct, what is incorrect.

You are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Jesus paid the ultimate price when He shed His blood for us on the cross. When we repent of our sins and truly believe this, we are saved. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit resides in us. We then begin our life as a Christian. Will we mess up? Yes, because we are human, but sin will grieve us now, unlike before. We pray, read our Bible, attend church, and grow in our relationship with God. We should be baptised in obedience and as an outward expression of our faith, but it is not necessary for salvation.

Isn’t a ‘good catholic’ pretty much the same as a ‘good mormon’ or a ‘good christian’?
I am confident there are some mormons who are actually ‘born again’. Some of their doctrine is goofy, but they believe in JESUS. Same thing is true of some ‘catholics’. And there are some self professing ‘christians’ who have all their doctrinal ducks in impeccable order, but they have not yet been ‘born again’.
For by ‘grace’ are we saved through faith [in JESUS] ; and that ‘not’ of ourselves, it is the ‘gift’ of GOD, not as a result of our theology, doctrine, eschatology, teachings, traditions or works/efforts or self righteousness, so that not a one of us may boast in our intellect.
Absent the direct involvement of the HOLY SPIRIT and the revelation HE provides we cannot calculate that JESUS is the one and only SON of GOD, sired by HIM, supernaturally (Mary did not have sexual intercourse with GOD or an angel or any other surrogate and Mary didn’t do it on her own.) JESUS is the one and only monogenēs (Strongs G3439) SON of GOD. GOD clothed HIMSELF in humanity. HE took up residence in a male human body.
When by the grace of GOD, we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that JESUS is LORD and GOD raised HIM from the dead, a new creation is conceived in us, resulting in righteousness and salvation. This is not a sequential process. It is simultaneous (similar to the sperm and the egg combining to produce a new and unique creation.
