Weber 32/36 Carburetor Re-Install

  • In this video I’m taking the carburetor that I just rebuilt and re-installing it back on the Jeep 4.2L engine. I also going to go ahead and connect the coolant, fuel, and vacuum lines. I’ll also connect the wiring harness, but later realize the wire insulation is crumbling and will short out of i try to start the engine. I also reconnect the power steering pump and serpentine belt and then tension the belt.

    Great vid. Installed mine today. How’s it perform on your 4.2? Some people say they shouldn’t be on anything bigger than 2.0ltr

      Mine has ran good with that carb. Everything I’ve read is that is the default carb to replace the factory carter BBD. It was able to to pull the mountains of NC no problem. It also has the 3.07 highway gears, but still able to have enough power.

    What jetting u are using because i have a 3236 on a l28 engine straight 6 cylinder

    Did the carb. rebuild fix the idle problem? I would like to know cause I am having the same problem you did with the weber on my Toyota. Thanks

      It did to some extent. It was hard for me to tell, as my distributor was making the problem more.
