I have both the original Mafex and the bootleg. As for any major differences, the first would be the joints. The joints in the KO has metal pins that are visible. While on the original they're invisible. The bootleg has more mobility in the mid section while the original is notoriously stiff and easy to mess up. The shoulder mobility on the KO is a bit harder to work with, but if you're patient and gentle it's no problem. The paint job is about a 6-7/10 (10 being exactly like the original) with some differences in shading and minor paint blemish's. The brown on the original is darker than the bootleg but not by much. Other than that for $20 you really can't go wrong with this bootleg. If you take some time to gently pose it you can get it to look really great among any other figures. I put the KO and Original side by side for the last 24 hours and they've looked perfect next to each other. While the KO is a bit shorter, it doesn't stick out at all among the others. It really is a win for $20!
Got mine in the mail yesterday absolutely echo everything you said here it’s amazing. Looking at how many are selling on Ali.. tens of thousands I do worry that CT is going to fly too close for the sun with this one. Mafex messed up not doing a reissue..
If anything I hope it encourages them to keep on with other bootlegs in the same vein. Also hard agree, Mafex is sleeping on an opportunity to make more money with a reissue
It's funny cause since this was teased, Mafex is now set to reissue this figure. But at this point, why possibly pay $100 + for it when you have a really nice bootleg that's very close to the real thing
It reminds me of how he looked in the Frank Miller 4 issue miniseries, especially that smirking face sculpt. CT toys hit it out of the park with this one.
After I got mines, I put it in boiling hot water for a minute, took it out and then pop the joints off, put oil on them and put it back together and I swear to god, it moves like butter.
Another great and fair review! CT Toys have done it again...if this success continues I would be buying every release they do hopefully they would make the mafex Gambit and Psylocke one too.
I just can't believe this is a ko. I got mine a couple nights ago and I absolutely love it. It's easily my #1 of the year. I'm gonna buy a couple more to customize. This figure is amazing. I will be buying the next ones as well.
CT toys are killing it. I like that they're a bit smaller than the mafex. But I don't see absolutely nothing wrong at all. It's definitely worth getting .
@@friendlypiranha9334i got the spiders from CT. Despite the size, articulation and paint are pretty decent for a 20$ figure, I can ensure that’s better than any Marvel Legends that costs 25~30 these days. Give it a try, in the worst case you can sell or use the heads in other figures

Got mines today and yeah, it's pretty good. Some minor imperfections like the head is a little loose and sometimes pops off while articulating but I think I can fix that. I had to use a e-xacto knife to trim a little around the neck collar to give it more range. It's definitely worth the price. I see Aliexpress has the X-men yellow/blue version right now for $18, gonna pick that up next.

Good review. Having just opened mine, I'm very pleased. The left forearm is loose and he feels lighter than what I thought he should, maybe an inferior plastic is being used. Having said that, I do not have the original to actually compare it to. 👍
One thing I wish CT toys did was include a second set of claw hands with straight claws like on the Blue/Yellow suit and similarly include curved claw hands whenever they do the tiger stripe suit (hopefully with the tiger stripes painted black). I'd gladly pay $5-$10 more for those two things.
Just got mine yesterday. Absolutely love it! The leg and neck joints were tight so be sure to put some dish soap or some shock oil in there before you push it too hard. Paint apps are near perfect. VERY happy with it.
The knee/elbow issue is a nothing burger. That’s pretty much every Marvel Legend. FFS Giant Man has different color elbows and knees and he’s a 200 dollar Haslab. CT nails the height on this one lol, my OG Tiger Stripe Wolvie imho is a bit too tall.
I am definetly getting sold on this one, the size is not an issue with Logan (since after all, he is a runt) and is not that big of an issue unlike the CT Mafex Spiderman bootleg (where I do feel is too short compared to other figures). Will probably pick it up if money and time is right.

At this point I officially suggest to stop calling these KO\bootlegs and instead call them Lower quality replicas. I've been watching different reviews to spot possible QC issues, so far nothing big or even serious Expected to hight to be smaller but that's even better! I've noticed skintone shading as if Wolverine has some liver problems:)) But all of that is just minor gripes not harming overall look of the figure. Def gonna buy this version, for sure for sure!
I bought 2 of them from 2 different sellers and got them both yesterday. Opened one and I love him so far. All the complaining that Mafex is leaving money on the table confuses me, because they do infact do reissues all the time. But also becuase Mafex is TOO BUSY making NEW figures and putting them out. They dont have time to keep remaking the same figures when they need the factories to make new Products....

I talked about it before. I saw on their X account someone asking that question and they were surprised to hear it. I remember the same rumor going around for SW Black Series KOs on Aliexpress. Then someone on YT tested the plastic and the tests showed that the plastic is safe.
Seeing this figure come out as well as it did my hope is that if they're doing the other wolverines. They can do some more corrections on them. My hope is that they give the tiger stripe wolverine the actual black stripes instead of the blue ones. I hope they can do the x force one as well in the same size of this one. Because if so it's the best of both worlds it's a size smaller which fits better with marvel legends. Along with it being very very close to the original. I'm hoping maybe they can do some original figures. Of there own like maybe do a modified version. Of the ps4 s.h figuarts spiderman to be close inside with marvel legends but better proportioned and closer in size. To a regular marvel legends or a regular or a real mafex. I would love to see them do both version of the ps4 and ps5 suits. From the first and second game and then the modified them. To also give us the final suit of the PS4 game in the end battle with doc ock. To give us the advanced suit and venom suit and maybe all of the other suit. From the ps4 and ps5 game maybe do a 2.0 of the tobey spiderman in the proper height and scale. Along with a proper redo of venom suit tobey spiderman or andrew garfield spider man. Maybe if they start making their own original figures. They can do a andrew garfield Spider-Man from amazing spider-man 1.

Nope, I have the tiger stripes Wolverine and the color's completely different than the bootleg's. They just have missmatched colors because they painted yellow over black over the head and flesh color of the body.
@@sebastienringuette5515 This is actually better than the official version's. The official is more yellow and closer to tigerstripe. There's more orange shading on the KO's head and body, but less shading on the legs, so that's why you are seeing the color difference.

Exactly why I just purchased it. I'd be more annoyed with the scale for the other CT KOs but with Wolverine it makes sense.

It's same height to Mafex X-Force wolverine and Marvel Legends wolverine which makes this bootleg so good.

Its good , I wish the elbows were painted but other than that is a solid release. This is the best 5 "3 Scaled Wolverine you can buy.

Because if so it's the best of both worlds it's a size smaller which fits better with marvel legends. Along with it being very very close to the original. I'm hoping maybe they can do some original figures. Of there own like maybe do a modified version. Of the ps4 s.h figuarts spiderman to be close inside with marvel legends but better proportioned and closer in size. To a regular marvel legends or a regular or a real mafex. I would love to see them do both version of the ps4 and ps5 suits. From the first and second game and then the modified them. To also give us the final suit of the PS4 game in the end battle with doc ock. To give us the advanced suit and venom suit and maybe all of the other suit. From the ps4 and ps5 game maybe do a 2.0 of the tobey spiderman in the proper height and scale. Along with a proper redo of venom suit tobey spiderman or andrew garfield spider man. Maybe if they start making their own original figures. They can do a andrew garfield Spider-Man from amazing spider-man 1.

@ActionDisplayChannel My hope is is they start doing. Their own stuff very soon. It reminds me of demonical fit. Where in the beginning they were doing. Copy of existing s.h figuarts dbz figures. Now they are doing their own figures based off the anime. My Hope is that we can have that same thing happen. Because I really want to see a PS4 / PS5 spider-man. I would love to see a venom wolverine. Based on web of shadows I would love to see them do. Maybe the mafex dc characters. I would love them to do some originals too. Like a batgirl supergirl wonder woman red hood. I would just love to see them expand into different avenues.

Nope, I have the tiger stripes Wolverine and the color's completely different than the bootleg's. They just have missmatched colors because they painted yellow over black over the head and flesh color of the body.

@@sebastienringuette5515 This is actually better than the official version's. The official is more yellow and closer to tigerstripe. There's more orange shading on the KO's head and body, but less shading on the legs, so that's why you are seeing the color difference.
@@sebastienringuette5515 Actually each copy may be different. These figures may come from different factories. There seems to be more orange shading on top of my copy's head than this reviewer's. So my copy looks better IMO.
Best Wolverine ever, CT Toys should start making the other X Men RIGHT NOW!!!, this figure shows that you can have the best design, a good/reasonable prize cause, this is still a piece of plastic!, and should cost for what it is, this company is selling us figures, toys, not ELITISTIC ABSURD COLLECTIONISM THINGS FOR RICH PEOPLE, even when it's still a piece of plastic, with this figure, and its success, ABSURD COLLECTIONISM IS OVER, and yes, i know this is a bootleg and Mafex themselves should be asking a similar prize for their figures, and it even proves that Hasbro/Jada should offer a better product even for the prizes they ask for, again, this Wolverine looks more than incredible, CHRISTUS VINCIT, CHRISTUS IMPERAT. I got mine in a couple days ago but it’s full of qc issues. I’m still happy with the price point but my copy is not ideal, almost like it was someone else’s return. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
