Totally agree with your comment on if your running and gunning and the weather isn't an issue its a great vest. If weather IS an issue then its not the right pack. I was and am still looking for a vest for grouse hunting. Thought this might be a good alternative, but theres no place to put the birds. Great review as always!
what about those belts that have the two shellbox pouches and game pouch on it? Might be able to take the game pouch from that and modify it with straps and then clip and attach it to the seat pad spot?
After wearing the vest only three times I had to have the straps on the seat re -sewn, that was discouraging I think K&H need to reinforce the stitching. It's a great vest for running and gunning. Overall I agree with you on the pack size and water bottle issue. I use a bladder and it works great. Thanks for your reviews!!
You forgot to mention the two different turkey tote straps that comes with it, which they are really handy - Otherwise as always you guys do a great job.
Just got mine in the mail couple days ago. I was super excited to get it I immediately opened it up grabbed my pot calls and not even my smallest call would fit in either pot call holder Very disappointed honestly
Not that I remember noticing. I’ll recheck and let you know if I change my mind. We sat on a field edge and had a ton come in from 1500 yards away. He finally hung up at 100 because his lady friend came to see him. We sat shouldered and still for probably 45-60 min and I don’t remember a problem.
I like how it has a zip up back compartment, the game bags on most vests are not my favorite, I ether take decoys that are too big to fit in there or I don’t take any at all, and I never haul my bird out in the bag, so it’s just for misc and extra layers, ide like to see more companies use the zip up back compartment

A 12oz Gatorade fits perfectly in the box call pocket and in the water bottle pocket. That’s what I do in my RNG 200.
