As a former roofer a quick tip for the shingles: Start at the bottom of the roof line and work your way up, staggering the tiles/shingles to cover gaps for a more clean finish. 🙂 this gingerbread house is such a great idea!

I loved into a home in Springfield Missouri where the previous resident seems to of abandoned several cats. I have a sick elderly cat that is 17 so I cannot take these cats inside so I wanted to make them a warm place to sleep this long winter on our large porch. I made several of these boxes minus the decorations and filled them with old t shirts and towels. I hope they stay warm the snow is coming! Thanks for the build tips!!
FYI...the store "Five Below" sells "self warming" mats. If you add these to the bottom of each cardboard house it will help keep them warm. If you have access to an outdoor elective outlet, merchants (not 5Below though) also still heating blankets for pet beds.
This was too adorable! Great way to spice up a card board box for the holidays. Avocado is truly lucky!
