Hi Nick, cool you received my postcard! I am back in the UK now and will definitely send you a postcard from Liverpool. To answer your query, I moved to the UK as I married a man from Liverpool, have been here 26 years now. I love your temperature blanket, I have made one in the past like that, one square for each month. Regardless of how the colours turn out, I always think part of the fun is recording daily temperatures and seeing how the colours come out. Thank you for all the great videos.😊
Thank you so much for sending us the postcard! I'd love one from Liverpool if you get the chance. I lived in the UK for a year (in London) when I was 18, but never ventured up north. Thanks again!!
You are so very welcome and I will definitely send a postcard from Liverpool. That’s cool you lived in London, must have been so exciting at such a young age.
😂 Nick, I guarantee that the majority of crocheters have a number of partly finished projects tucked away somewhere! Personally, I have several. Love your channel...crochet, plants, garden, chickens, and homesteading stuff.
You have been so busy in May. I love the temprature blanket for May, beautiful colours. The rainbow blanket is lovely too. I don't have any unfinished wips, if I start something I have to finish it that's just me lol. Here in London it's the coldest wettest summer so far. In fact we haven't had summer yet, it's rained almost every day, more like autumn than summer. The temprature here today is 15C that's about 60F and it's pouring with rain again 😑
I admire your inner strength! I really should stick to one thing at a time instead of SIX! Hope you guys get some nice weather soon. Really starting heat up now in New York. It's creeping up towards 30C this week. I'm gonna get to use new warmer colors in my June Temperature Square!
The Pride blanket is absolutely gorgeous ! I currently only have 1 unfinished project that I am not working on, which is a mini-amigurumi cat. But I don’t feel guilty about it…😊
We really shouldn't feel guilt over a hobby! I guess I feel pressure to show you guys lots of things, but some months I'm better at that than others - and that's okay!
Your May granny square is interesting. The colors look like fall but it’s still nice. I love your rainbow and white granny square blanket, the colors are beautiful. The chicken is cute too. You are so busy, I would say you did pretty good with your projects In May. 🧶💜🙏🏻
Lol! You held up May and I was like, that is GORGEOUS! I laughed when you said it is hideous. I am on my fourth temperature blanket and I agree, sometimes the combinations can get hideous! It's so fun to watch them take shape!
I love postcards too!!! I have received some beautiful cards from some of my subscribers! I’m all about snail mail 😂 Love to see your crochet growth!!! The rainbow blanket is super cute!! The yarny community is the best ❤ Love the May blanket colors - it looks like Spring flowers 🌸 Been subscribed for a while but became a member today. Fellow nurse here that works with APRN’s and kuddos to you!!! Wishing you all the best on your school endeavors! You’ve got this 👍🏻
aw, i think the temp blanket for May looks pretty! It's true the green and yellow throw things off a bit, but the rest of the colours would look nice on a valentine's day piece. Anyway the great thing about grannysquares is nearly any colour combo looks good, even of it's unusual, it just gives it that folk art look.
I need to film them outside in the daylight. In this lighting all the pinks do look more muted, but in good daylight I suppose they're not quite as hideous!!
Thank you for sharing your week in Florida. I don’t think your temperature blanket is ugly. I think it’s intriguing. Your stitch work is beautiful. I’ve been practicing granny squares with flowers, solid granny squares and now I’m working on a rectangular granny. I did take a break and crocheted a bucket hat. I live in a tiny house and really don’t have room for a yarn stash. I would love to collect the colorful yarns I’ve seen. I’ll work the storage situation so I can breakdown and start buying lots, well some, new yarns. Good for you for continuing in school. The care you show and the personality I see on TH-cam will be terrific as an NP. I know you will do well in school.
Love, love that rainbow blanket!!! I have so much yarn but I'm gone have to buy some of that Picasso yarn to make something with it; looks gorgeous with the white! May's temperature blanket is not ugly, is interesting. The chicken is adorable as well!
you have been busy all beautifull I love the white and colored one I really really really love your chicken I am make dolls and teddy bears for charitys ❤❤😅😅
Don't be so hard on yourself - crochet is supposed to be relaxing, and putting pressure on yourself defeats that. This summer I am working on scarves for charity, hand towels for Christmas presents, a commissioned baby blanket, and a tank top for myself. That doesn't include the 4 UFOs I have in the background.
It's perfect for what it is! Once I finish June I'll lay out all six squares of the first half of the year and show you guys! It's cool to see how different every month is!
The rainbow blanket convinced me to go ahead and buy the Ice rainbow yarn finally. I kinda like the colors for the May temperature blanket. it has a sorta 70's hippy vibe going on. My mom grew up in the 70's and she would have loved all those colors together. I have been wanting to make a retro daisy granny square blanket in similar colors as a sort of memorial for her.
I have many WIPs works in progress.. lol. I will one day complete 90% of them. There's always something new I want to try. I actually have 5.. I just finished 2.. If I don't complete them in 6 months.. I rethink the project. Lol
All of my #crochethexagoncardigan are made using #passionknitkelsie #crochettutorial it's so easy and fun to recreate. I L🤍VE the white/cream color #crochetyarn you are making your hexagon with...✨️❣️✨️
I admire your perseverance to finish a project. I also have many WIP. I’m in the middle of moving to a bigger place and im finding so many projects I started and never finished. Socks, daisy blanket, two beanies, snake chenille plushie, Xmas tree gnome amigurumi, granny square vest (after watching your vest video) and my latest unfinished project, a knitted vest. I just get bored easily, then see a cute idea on TH-cam and HAVE to make one. No more yarn buying until I finished all of these! 🙅🏻♀️
I love your May blanket! Like Spring, unpredictable temperatures very happy colors! I’m doing a temperature blanket for each season-a whole year just gets too big! ❤️
I love the chicken!! Super cute! I am loving your rainbow granny square blanket. I might have to try that myself. Don't be so hard on yourself, this time of year the busy time sets in! Having similar issues here too.
Love both blankets! lol emotional support chicken. love it! I have many WIPs .. sometimes I just lose interested in projects and start another .. just the way it is!
100%. I kinda wanna abandon that granny hex shirt project but I'm gonna tell myself to stay motivated! Stay tuned to next month's summary to see what happens!
There's no shame in anandoning a project you've started with a vision that doesn't quite work out right. Chalk it up to "stitching practice", frog it and try a better way or something completely different. I'm enjoying your journey and your work quality is really good. Keep it up. 😊
The temperature blankets are an interesting combo of colors but not ugly imo. I tend to see things in terms of a painting. The chicken is super cute! A couple of years my UFO's either got finished, or ripped to form balls of yarn for something else. It feels good not to have too many... As far yarn stash, that's my treasure. Yarnspirations shared, "A recent study showed that those who have an absurd amount of yarn live longer...than those who point it out!" Methinks, could be true!
Hiya, even though the colors for your May square are a bit curious, I love the idea and I think when you put it all together it will be lovely and a great memory for you as you finish up school! I am a crocheter/knitter that gets bored easily so, I have several projects that go into time out for a bit. It doesn’t bother me at all because I do this to relax and enjoy myself not to hurry up and finish. I just want to have fun! So fun watching you! Hugs
Welcome! Yep, they'll all go together - I'm going to do four rows of three months across. It's gonna be a BIG blankie! In a couple of months I'm going to have to start thinking about how I want to join them!
I absolutely love the chicken! I've never done any amigurumis but I'm rethinking that and doing this one. Do you have a pattern for it that you can share?

I LOVE that chicken!!! Soooo cute! 😍
I think she needs a friend.

I really want a "therapy" chicken! 🐓
It really wasn't difficult at all, and for my first time, it surprisingly only took maybe two hours start to finish!

Hi Nick, love your work!!❤❤❤
Thank you!
Love the Pride blanket! 🏳️🌈 I’ve always put black yarn with bright colorful yarn… but.. that white! Love the contrast!
I've always used lighter borders, but I really want to do a colorful project with black borders next!
The rainbow blanket convinced me to go ahead and buy the Ice rainbow yarn finally. I kinda like the colors for the May temperature blanket. it has a sorta 70's hippy vibe going on. Aww you should definitely do that! It definitely has a 70s vibe to it!
You have a lot going on and still have time to crochet good for you it's relaxing keep it up and thank you ❤
I'm trying! Just gotta survive through July and then the schedule will ease up and I'll have more time for yarn!
I actually love the colors of May's temperature blanket! It feels like a flower field at sunset.
Aww thanks!
Have you seen the granny square chicken with only 2 granny squares?! ❤ super fun and fast
I have many WIPs works in progress.. lol. I will one day complete 90% of them. There's always something new I want to try. I actually have 5.. I just finished 2.. If I don't complete them in 6 months.. I rethink the project. Lol

Love your chicken! And your ice yarn blanket is beautiful!

Hiya, even though the colors for your May square are a bit curious, I love the idea and I think when you put it all together it will be lovely and a great memory for you as you finish up school! Curious, great way to describe it! Thanks for watching!
As a native of St. Louis, it is a great place to visit.
I heard you guys have good barbecue! Gotta check it out!
It's not ugly at all.
That's very kind of you! It kind of is though! But I still love it even if the colors are all sorts of wonky!
New sub. Will you crochet all the squares together at the end of the year?
Welcome! Yep, they'll all go together - I'm going to do four rows of three months across. It's gonna be a BIG blankie! In a couple of months I'm going to have to start thinking about how I want to join them!
I don't think its hideous! I like the colors.
I absolutely love the chicken! I've never done any amigurumis but I'm rethinking that and doing this one. Do you have a pattern for it that you can share?
