    There should be a law in Jamaica equal to "Green space law" in the USA or the Mexican law where foreigners cannot purchase land by ocean.
    Some places should remained in it's natural state.

      Locals can buy it and turn it into hotel....sandals, sagicor, panjam, Hendrickson etc are all Jamaican companies that run hotels

    NEPA - It is absolutely critical that your agency works with the current and future owners of the land on either side of this river and mangrove to mandate that the ecology is preserved and RESTORED. A significant degradation of mangroves has taken place over the years, primarily on the eastern side of the river. The eco-system of the Alligator Hole River needs to be preserved in parallel with development projects.

    Reminds me of Treasure Beach, it would be so good to have small beach and river cabins on this property. Been here before and wished the owners had a place to sleep over. Hope the right developer invests, it's a good look.

And if u look closely on a map it’s literally located on the border of St Elizabeth and Manchester .However on the opposite side of the river is St Elizabeth.

    Nice tour and who a sell it, hope ah no government because at times them sell things to much as if they can't invest and develop the properties to make money. I wonder how much beach Jamaica have for Jamaicans.

  • @Enomar208
    @Enomar208 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    If I hear you correctly, you said it's the last beach in that area. Well it shouldn't be for sale. The government body of Manchester should take that property and build something good to attract visitors to Manchester. If a private invester should buy this property it means private land and another piece of Jamaica gone into a rich person pocket. All beach front should belong to the state and for the people. Yes bring investment for the land but leave the beach front for the Jamaican children to enjoy. At this rate everyone try to make a big profit and not thinking about our future generations. I live in Florida and I can say this, investers buy and build there nice attractions but the locals can still enjoy it also without paying. We need to stop sell sell everything and leave the natural habitat for our childrens children's to come and enjoy and see natural at it's best. Jamaica for development but not for sale. I know you're just showing this property. Not pointing any finger at you. But we as Jamaican really need to stop and see what is really for sale.

      Hi Ramone, thanks for watching and leaving us a comment 🙂.
      This property is currently a private property. However, the current owner chooses to allow locals to access his property at no cost. As you can see in the video a lot of folks were there enjoying the water.
      The current owner who is a Jamaican living in Jamaica decided that it's now time to sell his property.
      The new owner may or may not be as accommodating as the current one. However, if the new owner comes and decides to build let's say a resort; that would mean employment opportunities for the locals. So it depends on how you look at it. 🙂

    • @sashathejamaicangirl8263
      @sashathejamaicangirl8263 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well said Ramone. It's sad but the government doesn't think of these things. They allow people to do as they please with the natural environment.

      @archaevist 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sashathejamaicangirl8263 I'd suggest reading the points @Property Viewers made above and you'll understand that the government has no say in this. I can understand your POV, and I have a similar feeling but I would trust the government even less with this property.
