- On July 14th, 2024, UP 4014's "Westward Bound" tour heads back east to Cheyenne, taking it over Donner Pass. I started off in Newcastle and ended in Verdi. Enjoy!

I was lucky enough to ride behind 4014 in the Colorado Eagle. Ed really put on a show for everyone, and was a great trip overall (Despite the collision with the tree, brake fire, and other issues)
Nice set-ups to capture 4014 in action. Thumbs up! I could only shoot it as far as Winnemucca, so your video shows me more of the trip.

If you’re referring to the smokestack, that’s the hood that goes over it to deflect smoke while in tunnels.
