What is truly remarkable about Abdul-Rauf is that he balled at such high level while suffering from turret syndrome! If you are not familiar with turret syndrome it is a disorder that causes involuntary movements and sounds. I recall seeing sports segments detailing how he would arrive hours early to the arena to give him enough time to do simple tasks like tying his sneakers, which could take an hour or more because of the involuntary hand movements, like the need to rapidly clap his hands over and over while he was trying to lace up. I believe medication helped but the disorder is ever present. So when you watch the NBA highlights and his recent play in the Big3 league, remember he is balling while suppressing the disorder! During his time in the league, he fasted due to his religion, and the ongoing theory was that it affected his stamina. Of course, there were other Muslims like Hakeem Olajuwon who fasted, but CJ/MAR weighed only around 165 lbs. and didn't have a lot of strength to begin with. 3. While CJ/MAR had individual games of pure greatness, he was really inconsistent. The video mentioned the 51pt game on December 7, 1995, but what wasn't mentioned is that in the next game on December 8, he scored only 10 points. Many people attributed that to, again, his fasting and the fact that as a pure jump-shooter, he expended a lot of energy. 4. He was an exceptional free-throw shooter at 90.5% for his career, but he very rarely drove to the basket to got to the line. In fact, his career high in free throws per game was 2.9. Stephen Curry drives to the hoop more and in the last 4 years has averaged over 4.5 free throws per game. 5. The video also didn't mention that the 1990s style was much slower, and the Nuggets had a lot of low-post players like Dikembe Mutumbo and LaPhonso Ellis who got the ball.

I'd like to see Steph Curry handling hand checking. This guy great as he is does get contained by the league's best wing defenders in clutch games. There is a reason the NBA enforced hand checking rules a few years after they implemented it. JORDAN retired a second time and probably on Kobe had the offensive skills to consistently combat that! And don't forget about Pistol Pete!

He should get the f*ck out of this country if he hates it so much. Imagine being in a country making millions because you're free and yet you're so mind-f*cked by your damn religion that it drove him to idiocy and screwed his whole career.
he was colin kapernick before colin kapernick was colin kapernick
Easy answer, he was blackballed by the NBA.
this
Kendorriku I’ll get you banned from TH-cam
Underrated channel like sdc and mdj
You know the screwdriver
But do you know the drill??
Wait, I messed up
You know the drill
But do you know how to be original????
I'd like to see Steph Curry handling hand checking. This guy great as he is does get contained by the league's best wing defenders in clutch games. There is a reason the NBA enforced hand checking rules a few years after they implemented it. JORDAN retired a second time and probably on Kobe had the offensive skills to consistently combat that! And don't forget about Pistol Pete!
Who else saw this first from nba insider
“He was able to work out an agreement with the NBA though, where he still had to stand up for the anthem but he was allowed to close his eyes and look down.”
He was praying, boss. They agreed he could pray during the anthem. Wow.
MashAllah brother Mahmood.
He had those huge games when the 3 point line was moved in for increased scoring.
Your battery percent on your phone is what your nba2k18 overall is
lol I'm a 98 overall
Logan Roberts 84
Logan Roberts 98
100???
6 ovr
I thought the video was gonna be about pistol Pete. I know there wasn't a three point line before but the man still had range
Actually Dell Curry was the original Steph
aadil saleh oh yeah if not for his old man he will not be steph of his generation
Absolutely right!!!
No way. That's crazy. Dell could shoot but his drive was no where near the same level. MARs drive and 2pt shot were just as good as his 3pt shot. Look at the LSU tapes. Watch how many times MAR drives to the basket. No one could stop any of his 3 moves. With Curry, only his 3pt shot is LETHAL. Case closed, I can prove it. If the truth of video matters ...WATCH the tapes again This time, watch closely...lol
Its funny because when Phil Jackson compared Chris Jackson and Steph Curry he took heat for it. They are very similar players.
How is 5.4 3 point attempts in 39% 3 point shooting not that great in today's NBA?
congrats on 50k!!!
You can never be Black with his sense of pride and remain on top!!!
That’s why!!!!!!!!!!!
This Guy was on our local news every week. Like clock work
Curry fans only started existing in 2015
Really? Didn't know...
Gayle Gilmore its the first try of coach steve kerr in getting his first title as a coach
Woaw old school player!
I miss Mahmoud play!
Curry is on the way😁
Steph can do a pump fake from half court and he'll still get defenders jumping
Aleks PlayZ. so could Mahmoud...that's not a slight on Curry, but I witnessed this guy (barely 6 ft) not only shoot the lights out from nearly anywhere on court, but play d and dunk on heads from high school (in Gulfport, MS) through his time at LSU. Look up what video is out there and listen to Shaq among others talk about what he could do-Definitely ahead of his time as a 'point-two'. The NBA schedule threw his medical routine off (he has tourette syndrome), but he was a truly dominant force teams game planned for even in the league.
Pretty good info. Thanks!
England is my ci...
Wait wrong video sorry guys
Chris Jackson was the best college player that I have ever seen. He actually played with Shaq for one season in college.
Simple. He played in the Jordan era
Lake Show Bullshit he was denied a job because of his religion.
Cash2K Kareem? Hakeem?
or he just wasnt good enough how about that?
I remember him very well. Those days very physical games.
Reminds of how Kyle Lowry shoots.
Nope!
19 points back then is 34 today. Technology was way below where we're at right now. No strength enhancement then like today. It was raw then. Miss the 90's man.
