  • Angela Yuriko Smith had all but given up on the thought of ever losing the extra pounds she picked up from having four children. At 46 she had tried all sorts of fad diets, starvation and expensive ready-to-eat diet plans. Nothing worked.
    Then, in May 2016 she found what worked and she dropped almost 50 pounds in less than a year. It was simple and anyone can do it. Just give up sugars and the pounds will drop off. In this video, Angela shares her story and how she did it.

    I excersised, ate 3 meals, stopped sugars. Stopped eating after 7. I did splurge every once in a while because I craved sugar. But I did it. I'm 47, I went from 172 pounds too 125. I'm back up a little because I was to skinny

      Cheers for this, I have been researching "45 weight loss" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Viyemily Mature Mansonella - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my co-worker got cool success with it.

      This was great, thanks, been searching for "38 year old woman can't lose weight" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Viyemily Mature Mansonella - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my neighbour got amazing success with it.

    You're so cute and your youth and energy shines through in this video. You look like you're in your 30s. Thank you for the inspiration and for also sharing about the artificial sweeteners! I'm so tired of searching for protein powders and meal replacement shakes that claim no sugar, only to see it has artificial sweeteners. Since turning 42, the scale isn't budging so I will have to look into the 310 and up my fitness regimen. Congrats on achieving your fitness goals!

    Finally, a person talking about a practical, REAL, way in losing weight and going into a better lifestyle - no promotion of celebrity fads, skin wraps, equipment, etc. You're awesome Angela! This was a real eye opener. Most sites just encourage those under 40 at how to lose weight, and state that the older you get there's pretty much 0% chance in your succeeding in weight loss. But you are proof that weight loss can be attained at any age if you put in the work and get disciplined. Gr8 job!

    Hi. I'm 41 and I'm a 5ft woman. Needless to say . . . I weigh a whopping 208 lbs at this moment. I'm so sad and depressed and looking back on my adult life I was heavy through most of it. Some of the weight could be due to my meds that I'm taking. But most of it is due to me not giving exercise a try. I need a total lifestyle shift. This inspires me to do my best no matter what.     Thank you, you were just what I needed to hear this morning. I am 57 soon to be 58 and have been struggling mentally with the fact I am so unhappy with my weight and the low energy and now the just plain feeling awful. I am a social person and I am out and about with my friend s and of course always food and cocktails. I am single, I dont want to stop the socializing...so here I go...

    I just turned 40 last April my weight was In the 190s now it's January 2020 I am now 174 pounds I am giving up sugar fast food I haven't drink soda pop in a year but I do still have one cup of coffee 👍👍👌👌 unless I get my usual migraine then I have to have 3 cups of coffee other than that I've been doing awesome thank you for making the video that really helps me think about given up sugar all together. ❤💜💖💗

    Don't let the scale define you. Go on how you feel, and be happy about weight loss that takes a while, after all it took some time to get there. I am doing 16:8 fasting and have lost some weight in the last month since starting.

    I wish the shake didn't have stevia in it. There are other plant based sugar free shake options out there, though. Congrats on your weight loss!

      Hope Ss you will.. I lost 40 pounds buy stropping sugar, and 3 meals a day and no eating after 7. I did fail many times but I did it. But I started getting addicted to grapes. Uhg

    I'm going to try this! My dr. just put me on metformin for pre-diabetes and insulin resistance she told me to lose 50 lbs cut out sugars and grains, I am gonna try need to get this baby weight off me ( had my baby at 44)! thank u for the inspiration!!

    Im on this journey at age 55...I try to follow a plant based diet most of the time. I cross train and hiit work out . I love swimming and strength train at least 3 days a week ...I have a long way to go but I try not to focus on the numbers on the scale but I do mind my A1c as I have type 2. My struggle is staying consistent and making working out a life style. I have 105 lbs. to loose . I wont't give up till I reach my goal.

    I do well not eating the cakes, candy just “junk” stuff that has sugar. I’ve even gotten over my obsession with bread and cereals.. yay me.. .
    But My question for you is, did you have cake on your birthday or special occasion? I try not to deprive myself of special treats. I go out with my husband twice a month and we eat Good things, but that is also the time I eat something I wouldn’t normally have like dessert.
    You look fabulous by the way and your story is SO inspiring. I’m 43 this year and I’m trying hard to loose weight and maintain a better diet for life :)

    I am 46nyears old. I am 5'4" and weigh over 200 lbs. At the end of last year nd beginning of this year I counted calories and ate healthy choice meals. No weight loss. We had gotten a YMCA membership and hit the gym. I spent hours doing circuit training and walking atn10,000 steps. I did this for 4 months. No weight loss. Maybe 5 lbs and stopped. I was over it. Then covid hit. I haven't lost any weight but gained all of my weight back. I need a quick fix to get me re-motivated. I'm hoping your video did just that. Thank you.

    I am on the on again off again point. I had gym membership but I just felt so embarrassed going there that I stopped going. My biggest issues are my knees and lower back pain. I feel tired and in pain all the time. I am 48 years old and my 76 year old mother can outdo me physically. It is so frustrating and depressing. Even writing this is depressing. I stopped working in September 2017 and that also has been a factor. Its not that I am a heavy eater because we don't have that much anyway but I eat at irregular hours and sleep that way as well. I am constantly googling or youtubing how to lose weight or how to lose belly fat but I never get beyond that. I will do good for about a week or so taking vitamins, walking and then poof! Motivation goes out the window and depression blows in.

      Wow, we are sharing the same lives! I'm 49 and I am on disability from a job I loved because of terrible arthritis! My mom outdoes me too! I have a terrible time sleeping at night and then it is so hard to stay on track. I comb through TH-cam videos trying to make playlists of workouts I can do with terrible knees, which is really difficult. It is very hard to stay motivated. Hang in there!

    Simple, honest ...I like this. Am 47 years, weigh 226 and have 50 pounds to lose. I am 6 ft tall...yes tall female, pear shaped so mot of my weight is around hips. butt and legs...any advice

    fruits are full of sugars so which ones you only eat? i am endomorph body type i only eat protein veggies no fruits and snack a bit on almands sometimes

      Fitness Guru I almost don't eat fruit except for oranges and bananas. I found fruit to be okay because it's natural sugars. It's the processed sugars that are killing us. I eat a LOT of raw almonds too. I find I feel the best when I stay on a high protein diet. Most fruits makes me feel hungrier. That isn't true for everyone though.

      Fitness Guru I ate bags of grapes and gained 15 pounds. I ate a huge bad a day. Its hard for me not to eat fruit all day.

      Chae Chae what you could do is reduce on the quantity or cut off other things from your diet.Iv lost more weight its workin kp away from carbs n sugar

      Just remember sugar, especially in High GI fruits like grapes, is sugar, it still has an effect on your body. Blueberries, raspberries and blackberries are a brilliant alternative to grapes.

    I know you said you don't eat processed grains but did you eat whole grains like brown rice etc..? I have done meat only diets and I am always hungry I never get used to it, I get foggy and all sorts.

    Hi angela am Reem from Lebanon am 44 years old and i weigh 80 kg i had this operation cutting out my stomach they call it sleeve i lost only 10 kg and ive put them back again my main problem is I can't stop waking up in the middle of the night and eat no matter how hard i try I just can't though I haven't been eating all day yet at 4 or 5 I wake up hungry and i eat with unconsciously what do you think I should do?best regards

    I was on the treadmill for an hour. on the ellipitical for 5 mins and then steam.for a few minutes..after that I felt great but then I got joint pain and felt faint and unable to move very much...did you have any experiences like this..I'm 40...

      Asma Fatima Stretches really help. Find youtube videos about the problem area and how to stretch it. So if your ankle hurts find a youtube vid on “how to stretch your ankle for pain”.
