No. Rockets only advance when TMac did not play at all. TMac never advanced past the 1st round while playing significant minutes. Only other time TMac advanced was when he rode the 2013 Spurs' bench. He played 5 minutes in the 1st round and 31 total in the playoffs. TL;DR TMac is overrated

this was yao's prime even if short lived. he was still very timid the first few years with t-mac playing sidekick and deferred the superstar responsibilities to him. but this was the playoffs we knew t-mac wasn't the same anymore after constant injuries and yao accepted the role as the franchise player and played like one. played like he knew he was the best center in the league if not best player. confidence was at all time high. had t-mac been healthy for this postseason i think we had a legitimate chance at the title.

When I was a kid, I only knew three basketball players - Yao Ming, James Yap (a Filipino player), and Sakuragi (an anime character). I didn't knew Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, etc.

很多人不是說姚明休賽期打國家隊，得不到休息，所以傷才越拖越嚴重。真的可惜了，再多打幾年NBA的話，肯定也會是個傳奇，不然近代的頂尖中鋒大概就數Shaq跟姚明，這之後真的好像就沒有像樣的純種中鋒了。

不说别的吧，姚明的英语，我感觉比很多留学生都要好，作为一个体育出生的，非常非常的了不起。中国需要的是这种人才，令人尊敬。
很多人说“姚明放现在的联盟里，一定是跟不上节奏、蓝领之类的话。”
我想说这类人，真的是不懂球。姚明如果还在，那联盟得跟他的节奏走。而不是他跟现在的节奏走。
现在的小球打法是因为没有姚这样，具有统治力的中锋！如果现今联盟里还有这种中锋存在，那身价真的是“天价”了。
有一个事实这类人一定要搞清楚！两分球，远比三分球保险。更何况篮下有这样的中锋，拼篮板？脑子抽风了吧？？？？？
我敢说就算让姚明打现在的小球战术，他一样可以拉到外线投三分。

姚应该可以适应现在的联盟，但他速度确实慢，防对手反击的时候是个累赘。但我觉得他如果在现在的话虽然防守顶不住小球，但是进攻端....如果防他的内线是追梦格林这种小球中锋，那会被他隔扣到死
別人的厲害不會代表自己 國家強大不代表自己強大 但作為一個人 姚明的努力成績是值得被尊重 作為一個人 並非國家 這是重點
但他就是为了我们国家的篮球付出了巨大的贡献 并且就是我们国家篮球的历史第一人 这才是重点 台湾人还是别往自己脸上贴金了 你们引以为傲的林志杰最高成就也只是在CBA打球罢了 呵呵

不大懂篮球 但感觉好像对手完全无法限制姚明啊 从开始的单挑到后来三人夹击 照样打的进去
确实无法限制，技术太全面了，命中率也高，罚球也好。
砍鲨战术对姚明不管用，随着火箭人员配置增强，包夹反而称了姚明心意。
当时绝大部分球队面对火箭，都是这种问题：要么内线被姚明打爆，要么2~3人玩命防守姚明，然后被火箭外线打爆。
09年湖人是总冠军啊，和火箭打成这样，逼得科比要在场上废掉姚明。
后来火箭的阿泰斯特加入湖人。
科比有个习惯，就是训练时为了刺激队友训练积极性，科比会一直喷垃圾话，什么“你弱爆了，我会把你打爆”之类的。
直到喷阿泰斯特的时候，把阿泰彻底激怒了。
阿泰一个人对着整个湖人队喷，说如果不是姚明受伤了，我们就会把你们打爆，轮不到你们晋级。
主教练来劝都不管用，阿泰喷了湖人全队十几分钟，湖人全队就中止训练，安安静静的听了十几分钟。

姚明真是很经典的中锋，中投，背身单打都是一流，加上罚球超准，现在的中锋罚球都烂到极致
