1:25 Hunter you absolutely want the cape, 2 ticking hunter is so braindead easy and lets you absolutely zoom, if a new killer can manage to 2 tick spam they will never have any issues at all since they will be overflowing with resources before the first mid. When I teach 3 new players, I use hunter and personally gather all 40 rot for them so they only have to gather 32 resources total giving them lots of room. I bring 1 rune pouch for crystal mask. I don't bring other styles main hands since its a minor increase for core points compared to inventory space. I highly recommend new players to gather rot before they leave, even if that means staying until middle, and to not fully rot all 10 immediately so that any mistakes are just turned to rot as they needed, but this requires more inventory space. Once you are more comfortable you can try to hit your short before mid by dive-surging across the field, and then eventually, given some good rng you can get all 10 rot and make it to your long by middle. (If you're hunter you should be reaching your final destination and rotting the node before middle even spawns with time to spare.) I bring 2 restore flasks so I can restore after tanking the sticky fungus at middle to ensure I remain on it the entire time and don't miss any ticks. (Just ensure crystal mask is up and reapply it asap you'll only get hit once or twice, restore as you pray, 1 dose per kill usually.) I bring a stack of cheap maple logs to disassemble alongside my artificers measure. If you equip the measure, click to restore statue, then begin disassembling it'll automatically cause your character to 2 tick restore the statue in between actions speeding up restore times dramatically. Lastly for ironmen, you will at most use 2 logs per kill, aka 18 total, a beast of burden with that many logs and an extra restore or two will let you stay the full hour and not have to bank so often making random croesus FC teams much less toxic/stressful.
