The music director and composer, Piergiuseppe Zaia said in an interview that he worked with many singers, but Dimash has the most beautiful voice he has ever heard. One thing I love about Dimash, is that he really wants to interpret and express the emotions in the music he sings, and he also always try to do his own version of a song. He shows it masterfully here. Instead of trying to imitate Freddie Mercury, he sings his own version. 🙏💖

His English has gotten so much better since then. You should watch Confessa + the Diva Dance, which is another performance on The Singer. The fact that after singing Confessa he was able to segue into the Diva Dance from the Fifth Element movie was astounding.

I love Dimash and I love this performance. He didn't really speak English at that point in time, so his pronunciation affects the performance a little. However, I think the best Queen performance by him is the when he teamed up with the Super Vocal Boys for a Queen medley. It is fantastic!! They are all great vocalists and their voices combine perfectly. Dimash stands out in the group at various times throughout the song, but especially at the end! Therefore I think it's time for you to react to his own native Kazakh songs that are truly dear to his heart and also realize what a great singer he is even when he doesn't necessarily need to go to the extremes of his range. These songs are so beautiful and moving, to me they are among my very favorite although I never heard a Kazakh song in my life before Dimash.
Daididau - a song with lyrics by a poet who was mistakenly informed that his wife had left him while being locked up in a Soviet prison (with Eng subs):
