Finally a new upload!
This time I would like to show an approach towards Keflavik International Airport in Iceland. It is a new destination for our company and I really wanted to fly to this airport. I was lucky enough to have it on my schedule this soon!
Keflavík Airport (Icelandic: Keflavíkurflugvöllur) also known as Reykjavík-Keflavík Airport, is the largest airport in Iceland and the country's main hub for international transportation. The airport is 1.7 nautical miles (3.1 km) west of Keflavík and 50 km southwest of Reykjavík.
The airport has three runways, two of which are in use, and the airport area is about 25 km2. Most international journeys to or from Iceland pass through this airport.
The main carrier at Keflavík is Icelandair, which has the airport as its main hub. During landing and taxi in you see lots of aircraft of Icelandair.

Hi MightyMkl! As an aviation enthusiast, engineer and soon to be LLM on the side (after which I’ll gladly move back to engineering and aerospace engineering), I honestly have to say that I caught myself checking if you’ve finally uploaded a new video quite a lot! Iceland is my dream, I hope to go there at some point. I know it can sometimes be very challenging to fly to, due to strong winds and extreme weather, but this time it seemed a quiet approsch into Keflavik. Respect to Icelandair pilots who fly there every day ( and Air Iceland connect, they fly those small props fighting strong winds and landing on short runways ).
I really enjoyed the video :)

@@TheWiseStoicNomad it was AMAZING! Only there for day and a half but we did a LOT! Rented a car and drive the golden circle and did the Blue Lagoon, and walked around Reykjavik! Best 36 hours we ever spent anywhere!

Nice Video! But the Airport on the map in the Beginning, is BIRK (RKV), Reykjavik Airport. Almost all airliners including the approach in this video are flown to Keflavik Airport, even though it says Reykjavik when people book the flight. :)

Fijn dat je weer een upload gedaan hebt!! Op dit veld kun je heel wat leren voor wat betreft winter en harde wind. We wachten met spanning op je eerste sneeuwstorm landing daar :-D

Yippie, weer een nieuwe leuke video van een mooi vliegveld in een mooi land... Ben er 23 jaar geleden geweest en wil zeker nog een keer terug gaan..

Ik heb deze bestemming ook hoog op het lijstje staan om eens (privé) heen te gaan.
Dankje wel voor deze mooie beelden. Keflavik heb ik ook een keer naar toe gevlogen met Transavia maar dan vanaf Orly. Op Orly bij het instappen ook nog kunnen zien hoe snel een lekke voorband vervangen kan worden.Het vliegtuig stond nog op de krik toen we de trap op gingen.
Vanuit Frankrijk vliegen ze inderdaad al langer op Keflavik.
Bandje wisselen is zo gepiept!
