    It’s finite, decentralized, global, self custodial, deflationary, as well as divisible into quadrillions. Bitcoin is the ultimate asset.

      Exactly. Going to be scary for other currencies to compete when people figure this out.

      The ultimate *volatile* asset. Could also drop 80% in a couple of months...

    • @mavadd88
      @mavadd88 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Len_J_ you want gains you have to deal with the volatility. take a look at the 4 year moving average, you dont see the 80% draw downs, its a line straight up and the only thing that varies is the slope. In other words have along term horizon. The volatility argument is about as irrelevant as the network's energy consumption.

    Assume for a minute that the fed buys all the govt debt. That means all the interest payments goes to the fed who then give it back to the govt as a dividend payment. It would give the govt an effective interest rate of 0%. There must be a flaw in this idea but I can't see it

    • @rajatsonifinance

    • @rajatsonifinance
      @rajatsonifinance  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @zintothemoon1135
      @zintothemoon1135 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @rajatsonifinance wish it would come to that but market makers and many other players have to many incentives (primarily greed) which make it difficult for that change to happen. May happen eventually, not sure whether it'll happen anytime soon, might get worse before it gets better.

    WHAT IF, what if the usa does the same it did with gold years ago, they just force buy all the btc from the etf make btc self custody ilegal, give a date for ppl to sell to them and double the price right after.
    And since they have all the kyc from exchanges they can force ppl to sell.
    I can see a pretty good case for monero to rise

    • @rajatsonifinance
      @rajatsonifinance  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not possible, because 94% of the supply has already been issued and nobody knows who owns most of it. Exchanges are just a small part of Bitcoin's market. We can easily exchange Bitcoin peer to peer so if exchanges were to shut down or become very strict, over the long term nothing would happen. Also, Bitcoin is a global asset. All you need to own some is 12 or 24 words. If you have them, nobody can stop you from owning your Bitcoin or spending it.

    When you say the public own the debt, and if its paid off the public lose out on roi, which is true, because infrastructure & services dont upgrade. But also its paid back by the future labour (taxes), the national debt divided by the population is each person's burden, i dont think that even includes the interest.

    This is a great video, Raj. It’s very obvious you put a lot of effort into planning a clear and direct train of thought. You included some tangents like explaining what Raytheon actually does, but you didn’t get lost in the weeds and get too far off the topic of the video. It was easy to understand yet comprehensive enough to explain the whole story.
