This man's wife asks Darren "Whackhead" Simpson to set him up for a prank of epic proportions. After returning a table worth R10 000 because of watermarks, our prank victim expects a refund or a replacement - not to get pranked by Whackhead 😂

This guy was actually conned. As a person in the wood industry i definitely know using certain products on tables or whatever will leave water marks etc. Treated with the correct coatings this would never have happened. Using local cheap laquers will cause yellowing and marks. He was absolutely right to be furious !
So what would be a solution when the damage is done

@thobilemditshwa8799 just needed to say that manufacturers of expensive furniture , kitchens etc use old fashioned yellowing acid catalyzed lacquers that will not protect against hot or cold or acid or stains etc and also yellow in sunlight. Consumers are not knowledgeable about these coatings and will pay high prices for fabulous looking items. There are Italian coatings available in our country that protect against all said failures and are also environmental friendly and stays beautiful for many many years. I know. Have been in this industry over 20 year's. Passionate about wood and beautiful coatings.
@@user-li3xr1sj2m thank you so much for the knowledge, I have the same problem, however mine might be as a result of a mix of inferior coating and wear and tear. I love the item, maybe this opens up another opportunity, I guess there are people out there who have taken this opportunity to restore these pieces. Is there anyone you can recommend around JHB
@thobilemditshwa8799 Hi there. Around JHB area there is Millers of Antique.
Also Sylvakey Shopfitters and Reform Shopfitters in Wadeville. They do take on refurb work. There is also a smaller guy in Benoni called Classe Interiors that does beautiful work and wont be as expensive. They all use the Italian Polyurethane coatings. There are many shopfitters and refurb guys but as i mentioned , Muhammed from Classe Interiors in Benoni is small but does very good work. I consult with all these guys so they will usually contact me for direction. Feel free with any more questions . Always happy to help.
