Guys...OOR is excellent in live performance and you should check out more on their live performance. Out of my 40 years listening music, Taka is the best singer of any rock bands all time. OOR is so versatile rock bands. I highly recommend you should check out Cry Out Live Ambitions Japan Dome Tour. They are so good at up-beat had rock, punk alternative rock., ballads...accoustic type music as well.
Linkin Park is one of One Ok Rock's biggest influences. For the LP Liveshow back in 2017 at the Hollywood Bowl, the one they dedicated to Chester, the lead singer (Taka, I think, that's his name) substituted vocals for Chester on one song. It was either One Step Closer or Somewhere I Belong.
Honestly Taka, the vocalist is such a good singer. He's so versatile. I know you guys only do new stuff but you could check out some of their acoustic stuff which is great. Also Taka's cover of Adele's hello is fantastic.
Funny you say it sounds like Linkin Park. As they were supposed to tour together not long after Chesters death but it was canceled obviously. Taka took part in the memorial concert (not his best performance).
One ok Rocks earlier stuff was a bit heavier so you should check them out in your own time.
As the song chosen to be OST of Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginnng, I love to hear this song with the movie clips edit. So perfect.
Taka (vocalist) was named one of the most influential rock singers btw ;)

I only discovered OOR last week. They are so talented! I saw their ONE OK ROCK - Wasted Nights [Official Video from "EYE OF THE STORM" JAPAN TOUR] and Taka's voice at the end gave me chills.
and actually this one got multiple MV.. the one that got won is from their official channel.. Cuz one ok rock open like a tournament finding who can make a best MV for this song.. cuz originally this one didnt have a official mv.. Even tho this one didnt get to win but they decided to choose and release some of the best creative that their fans did.. So the first place is at their official channel..

September there's the new album release Luxury Disease launching the North America Tour and if you check their schedule they're going to a festival in Australia in December, as I fan I can certify they're absolutely insane LIVE.
On the topic you should check some of their Lives, the vocalist Taka sounds even better live and you can see members playing. Toru is the guitar, Ryota on the bass and Tomoya is the Drummer.
I recommend any of the Tours to be honest Yokohama stadium, 35xxxv tour, Eye of the Storm tour, or my personal Favorite AMBITIONS JAPAN DOME TOUR.

For another awesome Japanese band check out Coldrain. They're a bit heavier. Their song Runaway features Jacoby Shaddix and is a fantastic song. They also have a song Mayday that features RYO of Crystal lake.
