I want to thank you for doing this Madame Morbid because I really appreciate listening to your great stories! And I learned something new about the Doors 🚪 song 🎧 who is my favorite band of all time 🎹🎸🥁
Dear Madame....Yet another gripping tale, thank you! I would appreciate a similar study of another depraved Missourian who also murdered six victims. Bob Berdella. His awful crimes were national news during the 80s,, but like the saga of Billy, have similarly been forgotten. Forgotten acts so heinous, perhaps it is best to forget.
Oh man…his name came up recently, as you said I had never heard of him, but a lady at a yard sale said she had personally known him. I looked him up and was just reading Wikipedia, and I had to stop, I just couldn’t take it. I know the name of my channel is Madame Morbid, but it’s more of an inside joke than me actually being a morbid person. (I was called morbid for being fascinated by the Titanic disaster.) I honestly don’t know if I could do it, and if I did I think I’d have to put it on Patreon for content reasons. This video got demonetized, I’m telling you it’s almost impossible to tell stories that don’t involve super happy topics and not get demonetized. It’s so frustrating because history is rarely happy but those stories are important. You’re right though, he was Dahmer before there was Dahmer. Even my husband had never heard of him and he loves serial killer documentaries. I’m sure I could do it, but don’t think I could share it here.
“Night of the Hunter”.. my favorite movie..! Lilian Gish❤️.. You take us on such great adventures.. places we would otherwise not get to go.. Morbid fascination with Madame Morbid..🖤❤️
It’s amazing how it is in life, when they pick and choose who lives and who dies but I bless everybody that was involved not involved, and this guy deserves everything he ever gets.
Have you seen the 1986 film with C. Thomas Howell “The Hitcher” it’s a fantastic film with an amazing scene score. It’s one of my favorite films. So I just found this channel and I listen to this girl every night now as I go to sleep. I love her voice !
Sorry billy cook i no how feels like to be neleted and rejected i been bullied my whole life im sorry that you had such a bad childhood have nice day sir
I remember the time and the talking about him. I remember my Mother telling my Father to stop giving hitch-hikers a ride. The narrator used the word "cock eyed" about his appearance. I remember a neighbor saying the law was afraid to catch him as his "cock eye" stayed open as he slept. It was common practice to give rides to hitch-hikers. Many people remembered the Depression and WWII soldiers needing rides home on leave. I remember his execution . No lollygagging about for 20 years worrying about a "fair trial" over a misplace comma or technicality back then.
Really? He was super creepy in this movie. I didn’t recognize him from anything but I haven’t seen Perry Mason since I was a kid. I’ll give you a call this afternoon. I was in St. Louis.
I would love it if you done a complete series on pretty boy Floyd I live 25 miles from his hometown in Sallisaw and I can't find anything on him other than his grave
I have done two episodes on him already, have you not found them? Although technically I don’t think he had anything to do with the KC Massacre. But he definitely kidnapped Bolivar’s sheriff. I doubt anyone has ever done a video about that other than me.
I think it can be both. Some people are born bad in that it's just who they are. But there are other cases when nurture (or lack thereof) is the cause. Even that though has to do with predisposition because not everyone who has a truly horrid childhood goes that route. Mental health resources and facilities are highly recommended but positive results won't happen with the truly abhorrent individuals
I wouldn't call Charles Manson a monster. Not in the same breath as Billy Cook. Charlie was just a petty criminal with a good rap. He never even killed anyone. Tex Watson was the monster of the Manson Family. If it was not for Tex none of the murders would have happened. Charlie is not even close to being in the same league as Tex or Billy Cook or any number of serial killers.
The dog couldn’t identify him, it all pissed me off, but the fact he killed the animal shows his plain old meanness and rage. Originally I mentioned the kids directly but cut it out because it seemed redundant. I thought my opinion came through pretty clearly.
I get angry at ALL of it. You think the poor dog DESERVED it ???? It's just as sad and horrifying for God's sake. Can't stand people who write off animals, especially family pets like they and their lives just don't matter. I can assure you the dog mattered to that family.
I first read about Billy Cook back in the 1980s. Him killing the dog upset me more than him killing the family. But given how many years it has been since I first read about it I have had time to wonder. Perhaps Billy possessed an extremely small amount of kindness, and in his warped way of thinking spared the dog from being without its family. We will never know.
Do you mean the droopy eye? He definitely has it though it isn’t as noticeable in photos as you would think. The fact that it could not close definitely made it very noticeable in person. Believe me, this guy did it.
Please don’t insult 50% of my viewers, particularly when it has nothing to do with the video. Pretty please…this isn’t a political channel, and I won’t ever bring politics up except for the historical context of the time period I am discussing.

He reminds me of Charles Starkweather. When Starkweather was asked why he did it he said, "I guess there's just a meanness in this world."

Sick person! RIP to his victims. I remember hitching a ride in the 1970's. I'd never do it now.
Madam Morb, the research you do is nothing short of incredible!!
Wow, thanks!
Just saying hello like ya asked, great job once again
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it!
Jim Morrison. Riders of the Storm. Was taken from this. Case. So called Defect my grandmother slept with one eye open. And so do I.
“Night of the Hunter”.. my favorite movie..! Lilian Gish❤️.. You take us on such great adventures.. places we would otherwise not get to go.. Morbid fascination with Madame Morbid..🖤❤️
Lillian Gish worked in Hollywood for 75 years, now THAT is a career. Thanks for watching!
Madame Morbid. My favorite gal. Blessing.

That dude was messed up. RIP to the victims. 😥
The event took place when Jim Morrison was about 7 or 8 & haunted him throughout his life. He even made a short film in college loosely based on Cook.
Wow, thanks for the information. I knew about the song but nothing more than that.
tyvm for another interesting history tale.

This video , and your other videos deserve way more views. I enjoy your content and encourage you to stay with it. Greetings from Alberta Canada !
Wow, thanks! I agree, tell all your friends! Either way I’m glad you are here.
@@MMorbid Yeah the algorithm is tough to figure out. I'm struggling with it on my channel. Best wishes.
You got the lyrics from the Doors song wrong. It is "sweet family will die" not "sweet memory will die."
Oops 😬

Hey,Madam! Good storytelling. We do get so senstized with violent "people" that we sometimes tend to forget it has been around forever.
A bit of trivia... Willam Talman who played the killer in the movie played the Prosecutor Hamilton Burger on Perry Mason in the 60's
Really? He was super creepy in this movie. I didn’t recognize him from anything but I haven’t seen Perry Mason since I was a kid. I’ll give you a call this afternoon. I was in St. Louis.
Your little girl is adorable. 🧡
Thank you, she is but I’m a little biased, 😆
"if you give this man a ride sweet memories will die Killer on the road". (Riders on the storm)
Who in their right mind would pick up a hitch hiker. It's dangerous for both parties involved.
His unmarked burial place simply has the word Grave. His name was not written on it.
I didn’t even know he had that. Thanks for the information!
@@MMorbid:TH-camr Lamont at large made a video about his life and unmarked burial place. That’s how I found out that detail.
I would love it if you done a complete series on pretty boy Floyd I live 25 miles from his hometown in Sallisaw and I can't find anything on him other than his grave
I plan to, I even have the biography already purchased!

He is buried on the south end of the cemetery in his parent’s plot. The plot is off by itself.
WOW. You had more opinion on killing the dog. Then you did the kids. O. Wait. You had no opinion on the kids just the DOG.. William s
Children could identify him, while the pet dog was killed out of pure meanness. I thought it showed something about his character.

He murders three little kids and you get angry because he kills the dog?
