It took me most of the day, but I got both fuses and the heating element replaced and I even cleaned the rollers. Thanks to you, no service guys had to be called (or paid), which is huge for this single mom of 6. You have great instruction and did it with easier steps than most other videos. I would not have been able to get that drum back in without your inside view. Thank you, thank you!!!

Wow. Absolute wow. I worried when my dryer quit heating that it was going to cost me hundreds of dollars. I watched this video and decided to order the parts and give it a go myself. The parts came in (I ordered the whole set) and I sat down with this video and my dryer. I got through it one step at a time, paused the video, replayed to make sure I didn't miss anything, and wow. My dryer is fixed. I didn't even know how to use a multimeter when I started. I still don't really, but I can check for continuity. My dryer had the exact same issue and I changed both pieces, just as he said to do. Wow, $30 and about two and half hours of my time. Thank you for this extremely instructional step by step. You really saved me so much.

Thanks just fixed ny dryer ( same model ). Heating element went bad. The 3 hardest parts were getting the top open for some reason was a pain. Getting belt back on i accidentally let go of the pulley and spring flew off. And then lining up the new heating element. Plus cleaning a ton of lint. First time cleaning inside it in about 9 years. Fan motor had lint on blades. Never had taken it apart before. Video worked great. You make it kook easy. Took me about 2.5 hours to disassemble and clean everything inside, test, replace heating element, clean, put back together snd clean vent hose. Hopefully will last another 9 years.

Thanks for the video. Going to be dong this as soon as my parts arrive. One thing I would suggest for others (like me) first timing it. Take a picture with your phone of the connections of the parts/wires prior to removing. That way you have a visual record of where/how the parts and wires go if you are forgetful, like I am. Great explanations and execution of this repair, Makes me feel confident I can do it too.

you can get to the heating element box and check the sensors/fuse and remove the box with out taking out the drum. I did it by removing the exhaust in the back and using a stubby screw driver to reach in and unscrew it, mine was on a different model Samsung dryer (DV40J3000EW/A2) but the same set up for the heating element and sensor/fuses. Great video there

My dryer stopped heating yesterday. I did Samsung error test, got he error. Appliance repairs said $75 to come out and check!
So I called the appliance store, they said most common issue is fuse. So I bought a fuse for 12.99 and 30 mins later I have a working dryer and I did it all by myself! Thank you so much..
Only issue I have now after installing everything is when my dryer powers off, it makes a noise for about 10 seconds. It didn't do that before?

Not sure why you'd include heat sensitive parts, in a device who's only function is to introduce heat into a semi-closed system, but I am not the designers at Samsung.

Would it be wise for me to buy spare thermostat and parts, so I’ll have them on hand when they wear out? How often do these things break? Which parts wear out the most? What causes them to wear out? Overstuffing the dryer, for instance?

    • @DIYRepairsNow

Those thermostats most of the time don’t go bad unless you you have a problem with your dryer vent or clogged dryer vent and The parts the most goes out are the drive pulley and the bearing wheels but that is depends on the model and the brand so my advice is just make sure you do a dryer vent cleaning once a year

7/22/23 Note: At video marker 6:31, unplugging the interlock switch wasn't necessary (the switch did not budge when attempting to disconnect). I was able to gently (video marker 6:58) remove the front panel and sit it to the side and lean it against my washing machine without putting tension on the switch wiring.

I was able to take everything apart and replaced the same two parts as you - cut off thermostat and high limit thermostat. Ordered from Amazon based on the info you listed above. Put everything back together and still no heat. Whyyyy? Is there something else that could be causing this? It's not the vent or the exhaust.

Check the heat element the heat element must be broken

All my lights on mine are flashing blue and it won't get hot and it has nothing to do with the event being full the vent is fine and the power is fine and it spins but it will not dry my clothes and all the lights are blinking blue what does this mean?

My parents have this. It won't spin or heat. Is it the same fix?

    • @joannasaadati8810
      @joannasaadati8810 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Not spinning is probably the belt unless you hear no noise then it could be the motor which isn't such an easy fix. The belt/pulley is cheap on amazon.

Changed everything but the moisture sensor in mines and I still get no heat 😔

You gotta make sure you’re getting enough power from the breaker and to bypass the moisture sensor you have to put it in time dry and send it to 30 or 45 minutes

I've used this video twice. 3 months ago and then now. The vent pipe from the dryer up through the roof of the house was cleaned 3 months ago. The heating element has gone out again. Never buy a Samsung.

With the help from your video I was able to take it apart and determine what the problem was. Unfortunately for me it was cheaper to call my home warranty company and have them repair it than or it myself and do it. All the replace parts I found had horrible reviews of the part dying anywhere from 1 load to a month later. I would rather get a genuine Samsung part installed from the warranty company.
