There are now many non Calvinist pastors who teach Lordship salvation yet claim to be believers and proponents of a non works based gospel of grace alone by faith alone in Christ alone. People that follow them are either confused , or turn to looking at themselves to give an assurance of their eternal security.
It’s very disheartening how Calvinism and its cousin Lordship salvation/ perseverance of the saints has infiltrated churches that once taught the gospel of grace.
If people would study the truth of what is and why it’s called the GOOD NEWS, they’d see the error creeping into to churches that were once sound in the doctrine of the gospel.

    • @danielchoi5943
      @danielchoi5943 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

This sounds conspiratorial (because it kind of is), but I'll say it anyway: the success of Capitalism hinges on a works-based salvation (whether it be Islam, Catholic, Calvinist, Buddhist, etc.). They would boost the economy as a proof that they are saved (their wealth becomes a measure of how good they were).
At least this is what the socialist Max Weber states in his book the Spirit of Capitalism (which I'm starting to see in my observation of churches/people).

@@t.macneil7048 well I cant speak for all Provisionists, but I do not teach Lordship salvation in any way. I make a distinction between "sonship" and "discipleship". Becoming a child of God is completely free and costs nothing. Discipleship will cost you everything. You are saved whether you become a disciple or not, but your kingdom rewards as well as peace in this life comes with discipleship. I would never tell a siner they must give up their sin in order to be saved, nor would I tell them they werent truly saved if they dont produce good works.

Jesus died to pay our sin debt because He loves us sinners. He hates our sin, but He loves us.
We can do nothing to save ourselves. First John 2:2. And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. John 3:16-18.
Romans 4:5-8. Romans 3:26-28. Acts 16:31. Romans 6:23. For the penalty for sin is death, physical death, but, (the good news) the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus finished work on the cross.
We have to be as righteous as God to go to heaven. Romans 4:6. John 3:18. Lordship salvation is rejecting the savior in favor of man saving himself. Galatians 2:21. I do not void the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Romans 4:5. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him who JUSTIFIETH the UNGODLY, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Lordship salvation teaches that Jesus died for nothing, and we can save ourselves. Not the doctrine of GRACE. Romans 11:6. All grace, no works. If it was by works, it would no longer be grace. Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. Galatians 1:6-9. Though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. As we said before, so say I again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received from us, LET HIM BE ACCURSED.
Those preaching Lordship salvation are accursed by God. It is another gospel. Not First Corinthians 15:1-4. They twist/wrest the scriptures to their own destruction. They make the cross of no effect and preach we can save ourselves. It is calling God a liar.
Colossians 2:13. He has forgiven us ALL TRESPASSES. John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that BELIEVETH on me HATH EVERASTING LIFE. John 3:18.
First John 1:8. IF we say we have no sin, we are DECEIVED and the TRUTH is not in us. Lordship salvation is telling men they can live up to Gods perfect righteousness in the flesh. That we have no need of a savior. In effect, Jesus died for nothing. They preach salvation by what we do, not what Jesus did for us.
Matthew 7:21-23. They are trusting in their own works. Not John 6:40 and John 6:29. IF we could do one thing that would save us, then Jesus died for nothing. Galatians 2:21.
Salvation is all grace, apart from any works. Romans 11:6. To add to grace is to reject Jesus as our only way of salvation. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. Romans 3:26-28. No one ever gets saved by Lordship salvation. It is a demonic works based salvation. Not the FREE GIFT of God. Romans 6:23.
There will be no boasting in heaven. John 3:18. Faith alone apart from any works. Romans 4:5-8. Romans 3:26-28. Acts 16:31 PERIOD. Plus nothing.
First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
Jesus shed HIs perfect sinless blood on the cross to save us. He did not do that so that we could save ourselves. Lordship salvation is a rejection of Jesus finished work on the cross as our only means of salvation apart from any works.
The preachers of Lordship salvation are plainly accursed of God.

I'd like to hear Dr. Arnold's analysis of Romans 10:9-10
9 because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart belief is exercised, resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation.

@@cathi7610 Thanks for the reply. The whole idea about being saved is loving God. If you love God, then you will want to be with Him in Heaven. That is the key. The problem is, what does it mean to love God? The description of becoming saved in the New Testament is actually describing a true love for God. Not an emotion, but rather a commitment and trust. Something like when you marry your spouse.
The very idea of doing this and that, saying this, believing that and you are saved when you don't even love God is absurd.
Many times I can watch a preacher teach on salvation for 45 minutes, and never even mention the word "love." They don't see the forest for the trees.

    • @E_M_FEN
      @E_M_FEN 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Romans 10:13 says, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Verse 14, says that calling upon the Lord is the privilege of those who are already redeemed: “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?”
Verse 12 says, “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek - for the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.” Clearly, the phrase “richly blesses all who call on him” cannot be speaking of salvation, as those who “call” already “believe,” according to verse 14.
      Think about this one:
What does a deaf, mute do to be saved?
He can't hear the word, nor himself.
What about those with no tongue?

    • @Brian_L_A
      @Brian_L_A 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@E_M_FEN Thank you for the interesting reply. The expression, "Whosoever shall call . . ." comes from Joel 2:32. The context is at the great Day of The Lord when people see massive battles and the Lord returning and Earth changes etc. Those that recognize this as God will call upon the name of the Lord. So the salvation comes from recognizing the hand of God on the Earth and calling out to the Lord. They were not saved beforehand. They called out expressing their brand-new faith. Paul is using this yet future event as an example.
Look at the process of events in Romans 10:14-15:
      Preachers are sent
      People will hear the preachers
People will believe what they hear
People that believe will call upon the Lord
It is not I, but Paul that states there must be some sort of tangible evidence of one's belief. Normally this evidence is confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus.
Obviously, a deaf-mute will have to make his faith tangible through other means.

To me, Lordship salvation & Legalism; there seems to be no difference.
As a new Christian who has found himself under this influence for the past 5 years, I can say.
It’s just a matter of time before you’ve noticed yourself forgetting the gospel, seeing others as, less then and seeing your doubts in your own salvation.
This very thing, (condemnation), is what God freed me of. I found myself moving backwards, so God, brought me back back to the gospel, & by the Holy Spirit, dragged me away from it.

Obedience is required by God for Salvation. Scripture tells us this is true:
    Ephesians 5
1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-such a person is an idolater-has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them.
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.

That makes any churchgoers guilty when they think they need to repent of their sins to be saved from condemnation. That's why God's sacrifice 🙏, burial, and resurrection is the one & only narrow path to be saved. He did all the work. Humans just need to believe in His work on the calvary. Hallelujah!
Can you list where Jesus Christ says exactly these words, "repent of your sins to be saved?" Nowhere is it found in the Bible. If we need to repent of our sins to be saved, then Jesus didn't need to die for our sins.

If a man is truly saved , he is a new creature in Christ, He has the Holy Spirit living in Him, he is being led by the Spirit, and he is going through sanctification being conformed to Christ. If you are habitual sinning, with no conviction and no remorse, then you are probably not born again. God loves His children and He will discipline them when they need it.

My interpretation of this whole debate.
Free Grace people: I hear people talking about works, so I assume they believe works are a requirement for grace.
Works based grace people: I hear you talk about salvation by grace alone, so I assume that you want to live a guilt free, sinful life without consequences or guilt. 24/7 sin, sin, sin.
Likely how both groups are actually living. Saved by grace and works are the fruit of grace and the holy Spirit. Works=proof(fruit), not a fee requiring payment.
This polarizing, in my opinion, is a distraction to divide and weaken the Christian community. I have never met a Christian that thinks grace is a free pass to do whatever you want, nor have I ever met a Christian that thinks they'll lose their salvation if they don't give x amount of money to charity on regular basis. Anyone existing on either extreme would appear to be a fringe number to me.

Brother: How was Abram justified? What did he believe? Why wasn't Abram justified when he was called from Ur: 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. - Heb 11:8 NASB95 This is Genesis 11-12- why wasn't Abram justified if waking by faith, obeying by faith since he was called until Gen 15:1-6?
He believed the testimony of Melchizedek- that God Most High is Possessor of Heaven & Earth. Then when the LORD spoke to Abram in a vision: 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. - Heb 11:8 NASB95
Abram's response: Oh Adonai Jehovah! Adonai- Creator, Possessor of the Heavens & the earth: Sovereign- with an attitude in response of Awe, humility.
& what did Abram believe that he was justified: That Adonai Jehovah will grant the Reward\Wages to the Seed of Abram- from his own body. Gal 3:16.
What does that mean? follow the text of Genesis. Abram just rescued Lot from captivity to the enemy- Lot & his possessions: acting as Kinsman Redeemer in the Authority of the Rights of the Firstborn Son; the one who is Adown: Lord (Steward) of the possessions of the Father. You see this theme followed up in Genesis through the testimony of Joseph- the Adown: Lord of Pharaoh's house & possessions.
Abram believed that God Most High, Adonai Jehovah will give the Reward to his Seed- who receiving the Reward receives the rights of the Firstborn Son; Lord of the possessions of the Father.
You see mentioning Gen 15:1-5 in Romans 4- the Holy Spirit making this clear as to what Abram thought of this Seed in:
24 but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, - Rom 4:24 NASB95
in the Theme of Romans- in Adam: all ungodly, unrighteous & under the wrath of God: now through faith in the testimony of the Seed: and only through faith in this testimony- no be faith which is obvious from Heb 11:8; Abram was justified believing the Seed would be Lord of the Reward- the possessions of God Most High; and being Lord- He was the Firstborn with the Rights of the Firstborn Son- the rights to redeem to restore the lost & captive possessions to the Father's House. God made Jesus Lord and granted before the foundation of the world to grant Him the Reward; and being Lord Christ has authority over the possessions of the Father; the authority as King. Abram believed in the Seed, Lord of the possessions of God Most High: and was credited righteousness.
God then testified to Abram to whom he was joined.
Then in Gen 22- the offering of Isaac- Abraham was brought to worship- godliness: the mirror image of ungodliness-unrighteousness in the rebellion of Adam: then through faith in the Gospel- the testimony of God about His Firstborn Son- Lord; Adown of all creation, God restores Abram to righteousness then transformed him to proper worship in union with Christ- God's Firstborn Heir: and brought Abraham to consider God is Able- has the Strength to, the Power to perform what He obligated Himself to do in promise: even raise the dead. (Heb 11:17-19).
When we believe the Gospel- we believe that Christ if Lord of the Father's possessions- we cannot obtain them by our faithfulness; but we obtain them by Christ's faithfulness- & that He as the Rights as Lord & Firstborn of redemption- to redeem us out of slavery & restored into the Father's House: Christ being Our Lord.
    That's what David saw:
1 A Psalm of David. The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet." 2 The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, [saying,] "Rule in the midst of Your enemies." - Ps 110:1-2 NASB95
& it is so noteworthy- that in this Psalm- the same testimony that Abram was given- was what David was meditating upon:
4 The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek." - Ps 110:4 NASB95
15 Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become [the kingdom] of Our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever." - Rev 11:15 NASB95
9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Phil 2:9-11 NASB95
Here in Romans- the Holy Spirit repeats Abram's testimony of faith- the steps of faith of our father Abraham: just in case you might drift away......
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus [as] Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; - Rom 10:9 NASB95
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. - Gal 3:22 KJV
BTW- Speaking of Abraham in this text- when was Abraham regenerated when Scripture states that, "Him who justifies the ungodly"? In Gen 15:1-6 when did God regenerate the ungodly Abraham who was walking "by faith obeyed" since his call in Ur some years before? God justifies the ungodly- just before he was justified he still was ungodly- a unacceptable worshipper of God; hmmm.
3 For what does the Scripture say? "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS." 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, - Rom 4:3-5 NASB95
When did God have mercy upon Abraham that the Holy Spirit would regenerate him; when he was redeemed & justified at that Mercy Seat in His Blood?
24 they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. 25 God presented him as the mercy seat by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his restraint God passed over the sins previously committed. - Rom 3:24-25 CSB When justified- God passed over the sins of Abraham until that Seed in whom he believed would ascend & present Himself Blameless through the Spirit, enter the Veil and sprinkle His Blood on that Mercy Seat- and coming down from that Mercy Seat (kata) the Holy Spirit came down to regenerate...
4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and [His] love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life. - Titus 3:4-7 NASB95

Wow I just fell upon this channel, this particular video so I'm new here, and I definitely am a believer of saved by grace and grace alone but apparently I've been under a little bit more wrong teaching besides the 14 years that I was under wrong teaching... I guess God is just moving me forward inch by inch closer to truth lol So with what I'm about to say, just know that I'm just searching, trying to fully understand... I have heard many times by a preacher that I love say that he very much believes in saved by grace and grace alone but he does say that as your life changed? Which I don't see why that's wrong because I think if you really do believe in the holy Spirit is living in you then you're going to change... It might be a slow change it might be an overnight change, I've seen both, I'm the slow change lol but your whole perspective changes, your worldview changes, Jesus said you will know them by their fruit so they're obviously would be a difference in a person of Christ rather than a person of the world... So Jesus is saying that you will know that they are mine because you will know them by their fruit or am I misunderstanding it which is entirely possible lol And what about all the places in the Bible I mean even Galatians is a wonderful book that talks about the grace of God and what have you but then in chapter 5 or 6 it says but if you do this and you do that you're not going to heaven and it also says that in Corinthians... So I get confused still about that.. I hate being confused about these things lol I just want a full understanding without questioning, I'm probably just misunderstanding because in my heart it witnesses as true in my spirit what this preacher is saying in this video, grace and grace alone...

It's funny how some people are preaching this and people use the word grace and you have no idea what it means, welt from the we are talking I can tell you exactly what you think it means just continue in your sin even though our heavenly father hates sin, but that's okay because Jesus died so we can just believe and continue in our sin which means when we're saved nothing inside of us changes we're still the same person sitting in this world living the ways of the world just like we did before we were saved, very very sad teaching in the Bible does use this as an example they say even the demons believe and shutter. So if the Bible is telling us even the demons believe and they're not saved and why are they not saved if they believe. Very easy to answer this they want to live in their sin and they do not want to change I don't want to turn from sin and no unclean thing or sinful thing could be around God he's absolutely perfect, this is why we believe and accept Jesus and he gives us the grace which is the empowerment to live a holy in righteous life just like Jesus did this is what we're supposed to do when we're changed, don't believe me read the scripture for yourself it's in there!!!!

Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Do You think a believer doesn’t sin? A Christians walk can take years and years of discipleship. It Takes time. However, We should desire to be holy and righteous- the Bible says so. Even Paul said it best “For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.”

Like or not Sir, you will need to face the fact of verses like 1 John 2:3-6 interpreted in a straightforward and untwisted manner. Examining our fruit is not to be conflated with working for salvation. The Bible clearly instructs us to look at the fruit in our lives to discern whether there is a genuine sanctifying work of the Spirit, and since this is commanded by God, we should not shy away from it for fear of works righteousness.

They r boasting in their works. Calvinism doesn’t teach that!!! Why can’t I look at the change in my life as evidence that I am saved and that God has done a work in my life? That leads to rejoicing in the power of God over my sin. But he’s saying he knows he’s saved because one time he trusted in Jesus. If that is the case he’s pointing to evidence (one point in time he believed). Calvinism does not teach trusting in your works. Repentance means a few a things. Not "turning from sins". You can repent as in change a course of action, you can repent for someone as in feel sorry for a person or repent as in changing your mind. Repentance doesnt mean turn from sin. If you truly believe that, then youre going to have a problem bc throughout the OT God repents more than anyone. He repented that He made man, He repented of the judgement He would bring to Ninevah, He was weary with repentance for constantly blessing and chastising Israel. Im just naming a quick few.
Lordship Salvation is a backloaded works Gospel. "I turned from all of my sin" well you just lied so no you havent. His word says that even the thought of foolishness is sin. Have you repented of every single sinfuk thought accordingly? Nope.
I cant make Jesus Christ the Lord He already IS the Lord. Biblical Repentance is changing from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ. Salvation has one and only one requirement. Believe.
Acts 16:30-31 "Sirs, what must I do, to be saved?" They replied, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be Saved, and thy house." Lordshippers claim Grace through Faith but like to add a big BUT somewhere in there. They claim Free Grace isnt true when Romans 3 says we are Justified Freely by His Grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus. It starts with Jesus and it ends with Jesus. We dont add or take away from Him. If something is of Grace and it cant be of Works, and if something be of Works it cant be of Grace. Its one or the other. His Grace is Free but it most certainly was Far from cheap. He paid everything for it. Purely out of His unfathomable Love for His creation

The gospel that is taught by many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by Satan into thinking that they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not. This has become Satan's masterpiece. They were taught that "faith alone" saved them apart from them having to keep the commandments of Christ.

      THE LAW CANNOT SAVE
      Romans 8:3-14
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Hi 👋. Repent of your sins to be saved means you trust in your behavior, a type of works, instead of trusting in our Savior to be saved.
Salvation is a ONE-TIME EVENT. You cannot keep being saved and unsaved repeatedly.

Acts 16:30-31 (what must I do to be SAVED?)
      Romans 10:9
      Galatians 3
      Jonah 3:10
      Hebrew 10:26
      Romans 5:18
      Titus 3:5-6
      Repentance of sin is a type of work that's done actively. Jonah 3:10. And God saw their WORKS; THAT THEY TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAY;
Titus 3:5-6 NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (REPENT OF SINS) which we have done, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US by the washing of the Holy Ghost; Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; That being JUSTIFIED BY HIS GRACE, we should be heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
ALSO we cannot turn from all our sins which means that we still have unrepented sins.
