Mr. "TOYOTA-P" at the 17:00 mark..... TOTAL TOOL!!! 😖😮😠😵 WHY did he keep letting off the bloody Gas Pedal whilst he was STILL MOVING!!???? If I was one of the blokes pushing, I would have left his ass bogged!
Maxtrax and a shovel will do ya good if you get stuck not much work with the shovel. But yeah letting your tyres down would be a start XD 15 psi is the best for beach IMO.
Tyre pressure and turn off traction control, momentum and away you go for a relaxing break, then you can look at all those silly people doing what you used to do, 👍🍻🇦🇺
5:50 fer godsake, start digging under the belly!!! - You've got to get it back on it's feet! I was chronically bogged in a very tight cutting [a metre deep] in the campground there once, and got the jack out then re-filled the holes under the tyres, and dropped another 30kPa and off I went.
The muppet in the blue Pajero was prrrettty annoying. He floor’s it each time trying to get the Speedo up to 180km/h to get out. Everyone helping to push would’ve been crunching sand between their teeth. And the child in the silver Hi-Lux loves the thought of having his own personal slaves. He wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’ve never been there, but back when I worked stations I’d get stuck crossing the sandy Warrego river, it was much like this, I’d just put a wallaby jack on the spare as a footing, jack it up and push it over on a new track, worked every time
That guy in the pajero looked like he was trolling the rest of them trying to get stuck. He just sat in the car and just dumped the clutch every time. He said he was in low range when he was clearly not. He wasn't going to help dig and was happy to shred other peoples gear under his wheels. When he was stalling it in high range he must have had some traction at that point to be able to stall it. Dug that all away then tried low range. They weren't using the shovel correctly either. See this video for tutorial - th-cam.com/video/7itIMS8My8U/w-d-xo.html
I'm pretty sure there is a sign at Inskip which says: WARNING SOFT HOT SAND - make sure the tyre pressure on your on road tyres is at least 100psi before entry.

Dear inskip action, From watching all your videos so far, they are very good with excellent footage of what occurred in the remaining days of 2019. With this choke point here in the video, and also that of Ngala Rocks, I was just thinking how much money you could have made if you had a very strong decent recovery vehicle for pulling out everyone who got stuck at these two points where you filmed. The entertainment must been spectacular at times, especially if you had a fold up pergola all set up with your fold up chairs for the motley crew to watch. Thanks again for your videos, they were fun and good to watch, and please keep them coming. Cheers from Townsville. Matt
Thanks mate. You don't make any money from recovery's . Some people will donate A 6 pack of beer or if you lucky a carton. Very rare you get money. Some times you don't even get a thanks. you get paid in entertainment. Hahaha.
🧐 Why do they all keep stopping in the sand?🤔 Also, why do some of them have 4x4, but leave it in 2x4 until they are super stuck.....then look stupid when they get out the car?👀🤷🏾♂️🤦🏽♂️

Low range 2nd gear and floor it before the soft sand, too late once your in it, just like the 79 series with the camper, right tyre pressure power ffies the job
Is it just my impression or are there a lot of P platers going to Fraser Island? It seems foolish to have P platers going serious off road just for fun, when they have such limited experience of driving on any surface. It would be different if the P plater lived on a farm or remote area - but then those people have probably been driving off road since they were 11-14. Long before they even went on road. Whereas your average city dwelling young P plater thinks they know all there is to know about driving but in reality they don't know just how useless and reckless they really are.
I’ve been in hot dry desert Yuma AZ sand which I thought was the softest in the world and I’ve never got stuck. I’ve always aired down enough. Is Australian sand special??
A little trick to lift the car is bogged on the chassie. Use a wood log tie it to the both front or rear tiers with a strap. If you are driving forwards tie it in front of the wheels. When you are driving forwards now. the wood log would go under the wheels, and the car will sit on top of the log. Now you can use branches, rocks, maxtracks to lay down in the tire tracks. I use this trick on my tractor when i am stuck in mud with my rear tyres.
if you have 20 foot stretch of really soft thin white sugar like sand you need to cross in a low 2wd Fwd 4000lb car. beyond lowering your air pressure. is it best dig out a path for the tires? Can anything be added to the sand in anticipation like a polymer or pure cement to stablize it. My tires are only 7" wide. would wider tires be better? anything that can be attached to the tires? can a manual 4 ton winch, long straps and an oak tree pull me forward?
Over here In Texas, USA. We have some beach’s like this and you’ll be surprised at some of the vehicles people try to drive through there in, I took my SUV with street tires going fast and got stuck for a few minutes then left, as I was leaving I saw a guy in a brand new Mercedes sports car low profile tires door deep in sand. Couldn’t believe it.
Big rims with small tyres is a no go for beach driving. You need small rims bigger tyres and deflate them at around 13 to 16 psi . You could even lower like 10 psi with no problems if you are experienced 4x4 wheeler.
It's not the Pajero that was struggling, it was the driver. I doubt they had turned off the traction control, or lowered their tire pressure enough. The Pajero is a great truck.
If you get towed out with someone's else's snatch, sit there and watch while the helper does all the work, have to be told how to drive on sand while you're already stuck you owe them a carton.
Why do people put big rims and small rubber on their 4x4? You can't let them down and bag them out properly. We hit Stockton in NSW and it's instant 14psi and we never feel like we are going to bog.
i love how everybody who gets stuck at the entrance who have too much air in the tyres put the recovery boards in front of their wheels so they can drive further into bogged lol not one of thinks i will go back over proven ground that i covered and let more air out , "recovery boards the L plates of 4wdrivers "
To be honest, how the fuck you can get a Pajero stuck in sand is beyond me. I had an NM for over 9 years and never had it bogged in the sand. It's all about tyre pressures momentum and driver. Lacking all 3 here.
There's no skills testing, just poodle around some suburban streets at 50kmh, don't break the speed limit, don't hit anything, do a sick parallel park and you're good to hit the freeway.

probably got 40psi in the tires too
so he gets it out with tracks and them immediately stops. Once it's moving you keep moving...

Have you guys installed the compressor upon entry yet? The one set to 40psi with instructions on how to engage 4wd.

Been years since I've driven through Inskip but there might be a sign up saying please don't lower tyre pressures, the sand is firm as a bitumen road.
