I played the crap out of these games as a kid (especially Chamber of Secrets), so seeing this game get completely torn apart in a speedrun was quite satisfying. I love how it's a nice mix of fling glitches, cutscene trigger skips, and just plain fast execution. You still get to experience a lot of the game, but it doesn't feel like the game is dragging you along too slowly, either (aside from all the cutscenes). I also loved how there were some parts where you were just humming along to the music. This OST was drilled into my head as a kid, and some of these songs are still some of my favorites.
Glad you like it as much as I do! This is by far my favourite Harry Potter game, the OST and the level design are just amazing and the speedrun is really nicely paced I think :D
The more I go back to rewatch this run, the more astonished with it I am. The amount of consistency you demonstrate on some of these strats is BEYOND impressive. Even if beaten, I believe this run will remain legendary for the history of HP1. Keep it up Flo!
jesus christ I remember when the speedrun for this game was an hour 30 and I remember the first time the community reached sub 1:30. I even remember the discovery of the brightness boost. God im getting old
Congrats! Impressive run. When the "Sum of best segments" was 1:11:XX 3-4 years ago, I had had a question how did you calculate it? I'm still wondering how you're improving and got 1:04:45? Is it really possible to be human and get it?

its calculated by the livesplit program just adds up the best segments you ever had on a part of a run

Getting a 1:04 is in theory possible but you're never gonna tie all your best segments in a run like this
