By the very nature of my job, I have been inside almost all the hotels from Fleetwood to Leafy Lytham, and I have to say that this is most probably the best hotel on the Fylde coast by a country mile.
The Imperial Hotel, including the Presidential Suite where the queen stayed, does not even come close to the attention to detail and quality of service the St Ives Hotel provides.
What a brilliant idea - all Blackpool hotels should let you in to do these tours- it gives people a good idea of what the hotel has to offer .

Been going to this hotel every year for about the last 12 years. Stayed in various rooms there , but the past 4 times we have stayed in the first room you went in with the balcony...room 18. Fantastic room! We missed going this year cos of lockdown but hopefully we will be back soon. Got to know the staff well too. 👍🏼 .Great video.

Them Rooms look Amazing Never stayed in that area .. stopped once at a heaven site near a place called farmer parrs beautiful food there and little farm walk round but that

The hotel looks really lovely, very tastefully decorated and it looks so inviting. Love that there are balconies over looking the beach, I can just imagine sitting there with a coffee, watching the sunset. The beds look very comfy too. It would be lovely to stay there instead of Blackpool, just for a change. Your friend is really nice Stephen, he seems like he would be very welcoming. Thank you for doing the hotel walk about, it was brilliant, hope you do more of them when you get time. ❤ xxx
We come St Annes quite alot for the day with my Partner and Daughter, we love it here, holds alot of great memories for us. I always say i really want to stay over a night at this hotel. The Views are amazing from them Sea view rooms. Cracking video. I cant wait to stay here now. Just booked 2 nights from 29th May for my 40th, Happy Days. See you then😎👍

I would like to say I once worked at Mr Webbs House out at Westby, was about 30yrs ago, we did our gas board job and he was a superb very kind guy , it was Xmas time and he gave my apprentice and myself a big tip , he also gave us a sack of spuds each , an a bottle of wine for our other halves , always remember this to this day , what True Gentlemen , God Bless him x

....very nice - I wonder if it's ever been on 'Four In A Bed' on television ? It annoys me that so many people criticise places in the programme due to lack of parking ...though this Hotel has plenty . The Blackpool ones don't often have parking because back in the boom years most people arrived by train , then coach holidays became popular ...and few people had cars then anyway.

I’ve been going to that brilliant hotel every year for 10 years, it’s beautiful and great service I’m never bored in that hotel there’s so much to do and that’s why we go there every year

My absolutely favourite hotel on the fylde coast. I've been annualy staying at the St Ives hotel since the age of 7 (now 30) over the years I've met and befriended some excellent staff there. Great facilities and family entertainment. Me and my ex partner where the last couple they looked after in the 1st March lock down 2020.
My only quarm with the hotel is they building itself.. it needs a surveyor in.. to the right of the reception area there is a flight of wonkey stairs, corridors etv.. I took a spirit level with me last time and definitely needs a look in and the cleaning staff need to be attentive to areas such as behind the flat screen tellies though
I think the wonkiness is part of the appeal. This is an old kind of feel that a new build hotel doesn’t have.

Just returned from a mid week stay at this hotel and it was brilliant. The owner definitely owes you a drink or two for the free publicity.

I left the metrepole hotel to come work here, silver service waitress I was and lived in the chalets at the back of hotel, we used to serve midnight breakfasts to guests too lol x
Stayed here many times, must say they have done a great job with the new refurbishment
Just had a look on their website, the prices arent too bad for their deluxe rooms either! might be an option for me this year if i pop over to blackpool!

As a kid, we used to go to this hotel as well as the Dalmeny hotel swimming with the family. It is a really nice area to stay, I've stayed whilst on business a few times when at Warton.

A massive 21 years aga, my dad took us 2 kids to this place, we were gonna stay Friday-Monday but we just stayed Friday night when it was £86 for a night. Still a fantastic experience, and it’s probably a lot dearer now, wouldn’t put me off going though, especially in that swimming pool
Yeah it's still pricey. For the price of a long weekend at the St Ives would cost the average of a all inclusive long weekend in benidorm flights included
For got what it's like in doors places used to been stuck at home or out doors ,not used to posh ,looks really nice
My second job after leaving school was as a Barman/Lifeguard at the St Ives Hotel - that was in 1981! (I was 19 at the time!)
So first you gave them drinks, then you made sure they didn't drown.

Yes his wife worked at the hotel and she was very proud of the fact. As you say that’s where she met Les and the rest is history.
I was waitressing then, I remember Les Dawson coming in lol we were doing banquets back then, oh loved them days x
@@jennyconroy2608 Hi Jenny, yes it is lovely to look back. Things seemed more relaxed and enjoyable back then. I applied for and was offered a job at the Dalmeny Hotel further along. I ended up not taking up the appointment but the staff were lovely and made me feel very welcome. Neil

My wife says the Hotel looks like a nursing home, St Anne's is nice but it is like a village for the elderly .
Stephen you should be promoting Hotels in Blackpool especially now it's opening up after the coronavirus pandemic, Blackpool Hotels and Guest Houses are struggling .

Do all the rooms face the front? Were there any rear rooms?
There are rear rooms. It's obviously not as good a view as the front but it's not too bad compared with some hotels. It mainly looks over the back of the buildings on Clifton Drive.

I came last august it was filthy !! The toilets were revolting. The carpet Damp as you go through the bar to the pool. Very very poor. The shower head came off and we had a pregnancy test in the bedside cabinet! Overall the it was the cleanliness or lack of in Covid. The main loo downstairs was absolutely revolting !!!!!!

St Annes is beautiful, but in the pool area...I think that needs an upgrade. Something like a giant ball. A giant ball that is covered with mirrors and spins...
Nice but overpriced compared to others of the same quality.
Very expensive 😳
