- Former Labor MP Michael Danby discusses the upcoming US presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump.
“If there is a major stuff up by Biden … they could easily get the big stick and pull him by the neck off stage,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“I think the Governor of California will be the candidate against Trump - I cannot believe that a man in the age circumstances as poor old Joe will contest against Trump.”
The debate is a waste of time. Americans already know who they will vote for.
Debates are outdated. They served a purpose before the internet. Now, they are nothing more than spectacles.
Especially when others are negligently excluded from the debate
This debate will most likely be more of a mental health test for Biden and be less about the content of the answers from both sides of the platform

25% of Republicans are re-thinking their vote, after Trump's conviction. Radio Times has him losing to Biden by 10 million votes, and Professor Alan Lichtman who correctly predicted Trump's win in 2016, now says Biden will win in November.
All the talk about replacing Biden is pure speculation and meant to suppress votes.
Biden voters are more supportive of him than ever before. He's winning Independents, and Blacks are not going anywhere.The economy is humming along and inflation is down to 3% from a high of 9%. Wages are up 23% and jobs are plentyful. Biden is threading two wars and a potential conflict with Hezbollah. No reason to change horses midstream! 😋

Sadly for decades millions of people believed the government (aka politicians) always did what was best for them when, in reality they were always doing what was best FOR THEM.
That's the difference between Biden and Trump. Trump isn't a traditional politician and doesn't personally gain anything by being president other than the capacity to fix the US. Biden, on the other hand, loses everything, and his cult of followers and their focus on destroying our economy and national security will fail completely. Biden has way more to lose, and America has everything to gain from a Trump win.

Gavin Newsom is not all that popular even in California. I see slim to no evidence that the crowd of delegates at the Democrat Convention will ignore their sworn duty to vote to nominate the winner of their respective state primaries (namely Biden in every case) to unite on a replacement in the form of Gov. Newsom. We have not had a presidential candidate chosen in "smoke-filled rooms" since Warren Harding. The American electorate is not ready for a reprise.

They will not release the results of a cognitive or drug test taken prior to the debate. They have RIGGED every variable towards Biden's advantage, & Trump still isn't worried, he will dominate the 'American citizen's most-concerning issues'. Biden's only chance will be to frustrate Trump under the skin with all the 'convicted felon for still nameless crimes' personal attacks.
