A Phondo/Hlubi band won the Cape Town Jazz Festival in the 80's, it was the first time it had been won by black folk. They had formed a signature African Jazz sound embodied in such songs as Phondo Blues, perhaps Sam could be dusting off the baton. Aah Mtshengu, Ndonga dilika, Nyana weNkosi, Malibongwe.

This guy is extremely talented and I did know he was the other guy from the Soil yet I have heard some great tracks on the house vocal and when I recently saw him on Idols performing Akana mali I realize that his talent is bigger than ever with less effort to even try when he sings wow I am a music lover and collector so I will buy your music any day. All the best and how you travel the rest of the world to show off your gift and let the world see and hear you sing
