@@siralphey234 I 💯 agree with everything you said! Think I was in tears for like 1/3 of the episode. Ali was raining mics the whole time and I felt like I was watching the most epic slam poem, clapping and rooting it on.

@@7DeadlyBananas Yes, Rue´s episode was amazing but i´m more thrilled of the reaction to Jules episode because it is my favourite and it´s one of the best written episodes I have ever seen, probably because Hunter Schafer the actress for Jules was involved into the writing and development.
Both were amazing! And as a coupling, total work of art!
at the very end of the credits you can hear birds chirping which rue had said earlier she likes to pretend that the heart monitor in hospitals are just birds chirping. always loved that little detail.

so emotional as always i’m so glad there’s a show like this that highlights issues like this in an interesting way with great stories but doesn’t cross the line of glamorising anything. This show makes drugs so unappealing but not in a voyeuristic shock-horror way

As someone who’s struggling with substance and alcohol abuse rn… I’m drunk as I’m writing this. This series always has me me in tears every time I watch it or watch reactions of it…. I really understand Rue and everything she’s going through, and I hope I’ll be able to watch you react to S2, cause that’s when shit really goes down

Heads up too there's 2 episodes not apart if season 2 that were released during covid in anticipation for season 2. One from Rues perspective and one from Jules and I highly suggest Rues cuz its a whole convo with Ali and it gives a lot more insight!

I always assumed the ending of this episode symbolized Rue's death. Her falling on the pile of bodies that stopped moving being a symbol of "just another casualty of addiction"

Me and my bf are 1 of those types of couples, break up and get back together, done had 3 break ups at this point and that's with me having just met him earlier this year in January and alot of it is him not being able to emotionally handle stuff, there'll be arguments over the dumbest of things while i'm trying to explain something to him and he'll cut it off just thinking it'll be 1 less worry in his life while he deals with other things. I just attribute it to the fact that he has a traumatic past and ontop of that there's a 9 year age difference so he might not emotionally or maybe mentally be where i'm at in life

Being from a family of drug abuse now for over 20 years the scene where Rue relapses made me so upset, I was bawling. When you watch your family struggle and never do better it made me upset Rue relapsed. A lot of people were like omg did she die and I’m like Rue is literally walking through her house and the streets thinking she is dancing and singing with a choir and at the end her high comes down which is why she dropped off and everything went black but man that scene was beautiful and depressing lol
Certainly a huge mix of the feels going on. This had me doing my “hope for the best but expect the worst” working overtime 😂 I knew she was taking this path but I was hoping for something different. Like rooting for the underdog.

Before going into season 2, I suggest considering seasons 1 and 2 as partially separate entities. It's a great season but because people go into it with certain expectations based on the first season, some are a little disappointed by it. It's still the same broad story but go into it with an open mind.
I’m bracing for it to be different in some ways. Many people have given bits of insights. Open mind for sure though thank you 🙏

I do watch movies but for the channel I’m sticking to a certain subject matter for right now, since it seems to be the main force helping to grow the channel. But once I get to a certain milestone, I’ll be putting out a bigger variety with horror and sci-fi.

Not gunna lie the first several episodes of season 2 are extremely exploitative of Sydney and the amount of sex scenes with her it’s extremely uncomfortable and I almost stopped watching the show so just be prepared
Thank you so much! I think out of everything I’ve seen, it’s only the adult/teen sex thing that is just something I can’t tolerate to see. Between this show and shameless that keeps getting tested.

In a way we are 🙏 my dad will probably come up a lot as I watch shows like this. He’s been such a big part of my sobriety.
My dad "un-alived" himself, when i was 12, after a long battle with heroin addiction. So between this and Ted Lasso, I'm a mess.
I look at my fathers life as a reason to do things different. He didn’t know what he was doing to himself and the people around him, until it was too late. By then the damage was done. But he tried in the end. Regardless of the outcome and his passing, he tried.
He was a victim in his own right. After walking a while in his shoes, I got to see that. It’s easier for me to look at him as a symbol, rather than all the bad that came from what he did. I get to be thankful for him, even though I’m creating this all from his absence and the bits and pieces I’ve learned about him and where he came from.
But none of this takes away from how crappy it felt/feels. It only refocuses it. ALL the feelings behind everything that happened are 💯 valid.
