ty, i have trouble focusing with big blocks of text and i love audiobooks. this helps so much, thank you for doing this! edit: i found out that i have ADHD and then found out that reading big blocks of text can be a big struggle for some people with ADHD. this likely helped a lot more people than you know!! thank you for doing this :)
Thanks. This helped me cut out a little time reading the assignment. I played it at 1.25 speed too. I understood everything perfectly, and watched the video in about 23-24 minutes.
I was wondering the exact same thing, it says that she rose however and last I checked when you fly out a window there is only one direction you go. Finally, I have come to the conclusion this was in her head she fell asleep when she flew out the window so she would wake up later in bed, not dead.
nonono she was imagining it, basically it was a chess game with her mother this time and the whole thing was a metaphor from an actual chess game. She was recalling the "moves" her mother made and thinking about what she would do next.
@@Ednanocapes just an fyi i did this for a period of a few weeks so depending where you’re at with your assignments you’ll see me but then the comments eventually stop
Hi Sophia. I cannot give you this answer straight out because you are probably in class right now. But, remember that the protagonist is usually the main character in the story. The antagonist is usually the person who is doing something against the main character. In this story, who is the main character? Once you know who she is, you know the answer to the other one. lol
@@revavi i know the main character i’m just not sure if the antagonist is just the mother or maybe something deeper? i’m in honors english and this is driving me crazy
@@sophur9133 Ah! In that case, I can understand why. On that level, I think you can argue that her mother is the antagonist. However, this is also about both internal and cultural conflict. These things are certainly what the protagonist is struggling against, but this is also true for her mother. In a sense, they are both struggling against the same forces. Still, on a basic level I think that the mother is the antagonist. Think about other stories and how some "villains" have a backstory that shows why they act the way they do. They are still the antagonist, even though we understand where they might be coming from. Hope this helps.
Did anyone find any metaphors, extended metaphors, illusions, Motif, irony, hyperbole, Flashbacks and foreshadowing, I need to know them for my English test lmk if anyone found one of them TY you WILL be a lifesaver!
