@@Cosper79 when click play on dayz home screen you will be automatically put on the vanilla server list. Click the second tab at the top of the page on left hand side for molded servers. Then chose on of those. They will generally tell what mod the have done . I.e loot/carsx10 . Etc.
Just try a few out for your game type. Before you do chose don't forget to favorite that server first otherwise it may be hard to recognise after exiting the game.
@@Cosper79 Just use the DZSA Launcher, it does all the mod work for you ... but tbh servers like the one in this video are not my cup of tea anymore ... traders are killing the fun for me BIG time. Anyways have fun in DayZ o/ - Edit: that doesnt mean, that official servers are the ones to choose, because there a lot of dickhead cheaters will ruin your game ... find a good moderated server, where cheaters actually get hunted by the admins and its a completely different thing!

So decided to do a little loot run last night. I'm super casual. Switched servers to a first person cuz I wanted that emirst in the dayz world. Spawned just outside Balota military spot. Decided to take a peek around and ended laying down in some tree for some reason. Welp I was being stalked, got shot with some rubber slugs and hand cuffed xD thankfully I was left alive and let go (he only wanted to see what I had and grabbed my sewing kit) So after my little encounter decided to head into the town of balota to loot a little and get some water. Ended getting a message saying "Ez" and thought maybe it was the same guy stalking me again so I hunkered down waiting for the guy to try n sneak up on me. Next thing I hear "yo is that you" it was the guy who hand cuffed me lol after a little convo he ended up showing me a few things a didn't know and helping me out. Decided to pair up and ran into a guy without a mic. We called him Broom cuz this mad man was going at zombies with a Broom in the streets xD we all traveled together for awhile gathering what we could trying to find someone to handcuff lol ended up being like 5 in the morning so we decided to hop off. It's the little encounters like this in Dayz that make it the Gem it is! You can't get that kinda random weird fun interaction in other games! So if your new to Dayz and someone who solos then appreciate the little things. Cuz more often then not you'll probably get shot or die to being a casual! And I appreciate anyone who took the time to read this 👍 keep on surviving in the apocalypse!
I mean since DayZ is basically a barebones modded Arma 2/3, technically you can get the exact same kind of interactions there. It's just a higher learning ceiling than simply downloading a game and hopping on a random server. It's funny though listening to people talking about spawning in near Balota though nearly a decade after DayZ (The Arma 2 mod, not this) had its heyday. It's like watching people living in the past. Maybe in another decade I'll be reading about you guys dropping in at places on Tanoa or something.
Shit I still remember my first ever log in to a DayZ server when I finally had a computer that could run Arma 2. It was the middle of the night, you spawned with nothing but a glow stick and a water, and I was on the southern arm of the docks at Cherno. I found my way to a grocery store with food, and then I proceeded to lie down in the back room and shit myself for twenty minutes listening to the shuffling of zombies outside and the occasional gunshot or two in the city. The rest of the night was just meeting up with people in the pitch blackm running from zombies and having glowstick raves out in the forest. And then subsequently dying of hunger later because we ran so far from the city that we didn't know where we were. Ah the good old days.
@@Tekkarath I used to casually play the Dayz "Standalone" version on my laptop before they made the game 64 bits and I couldnt play it. I bought it on xbox when It released and have been playing casually on there solo

I started the game solo, didn't interact with another player for a good few months, I saw them sometimes but never engaged, I would just get out the way and watch them till they left. I definitely don't regret learning my way round the game as a solo player before I fell into a group though.
Basically never played this game, but TH-cam recommended this to me. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole video. Well done

No game can give you a rush like this game can. At best it’s one of the most satisfying games, at worst it’s a soul crusher. It’s like high stakes gambling.
I felt the pain when you left the homemade C4 on the ground. Almost screamed to my screen, but then I realized I have two kids sleeping. I had an internal scream 😂

Their content is totally different. Frankie's videos are staged, meant to tell a good story. While others like this dude are more for the random, real, authentic DayZ experience. Frankie's videos do not depict how DayZ encounters go, unless you play on a super strict roleplaying server maybe.

13:30 how do you heal after getting shot by the guy in white shirt blue shorts, mid run to the pub ur guy goes from half health to full.
The 3/4 health indicator shows either 50-75 or 50-80 hp. So I would assume he hit me to 74/79 respectfully and it regenned to 80. The arrows down when shot don't indicate losing health over time, just loss of health and there is a delay in showing the arrow up(increasing health). Hope that explains it :D

I have always have been solo in my experience it’s 1v5 and it never ends well for me
In that situation all you can do is keep your distance and take them out one by one and once you kill one keep out of sight and catch the next off guard and repeat

I’m always solo, I used to have one friend that played back when the zomboys were broken then he quit and I picked back up playing this past year. The heavily modded servers are way too hard for a lone wolf; there’s just soo many squads, which is the reason I like more vanilla ish servers. If they added heli’s and better base building walls and some of the modded guns to vanilla it would be almost perfect to me. I want helicopters dang it!!! Lol
Just started today with a few people, we Tarkov / CSGO guys. Gettin the hang of it but is this a community / mod server he’s on? Sleeping bags I didn’t think were in game etc and his kit is juiced as fuck for first day of wipe as he said it was. Or is he just cracked?

Well orientated and skilled solos are the scariest ppl to fight against. I’m relatively new but if you give me and m4 and a few mags as a solo against a group in a feild and I could easily rip a few apart before going down

A solo only server would be a great idea. No teams allowed otherwise you get banned. Or even disable the ability to create a team in the server settings.
Should of really added (on pc) in the title. Nobody who plays the base game has it that easy to just go to NWA and just grabs AR’s and starts base building 😂
As an inexperienced player, I have played solo from the beggining. It just takes a certain type of player to thrive as solo.

I have recently tried to get into this game, and it is quite difficult, especially on console, compared to other shooters. But this video really makes the steep learning curve seem well worth it.

This was so strange to watch. I'm at 10k hours and I've only ever played solo on vanilla community servers. Modded servers seems like such a different experience.
I want to get into vanilla community servers as well , can you recommend me any good ones?

@@blicc3x I found a good vanilla server called spaggies server (it's a community server). It's 1PP w/ no mods, it's a legit vanilla server with high player count for the most part. Really recommend it.

This server is kinda good, the 2 only things it sucks as is: u get good Keys from Z's way to often! And there are too less key rooms ins total

yep, learn how crafting works, what you can craft, learn how to build storages stashes and how to bury them, sometimes building a base can be rough but having a few stashes around as a place to store your valuables is nice, and when you do finally get a base you can transport whatever you need, and then use the stashes as little outposts for loot as you're out on a run

I'm looking to get bad in, but keep join severs with 5 safe zones, and you start with 300k so your decked out in an hour, and not really looking for that.

I'll be honest. Since Frankie's DayZ series, I haven't been able to watch any since it just isn't enjoyable. However the editing, the fluid gameplay and commentary, all together makes this an incredibly enjoyable video to watch, and I'm definitely going to have to take a dive into the rest of your content, and see if it's as good as this gem!
