Hey! Thanks for the comment man - much appreciated. I think we all have the same problem with social media! Hope that helps
Dude that’s a tough one! I always try to work in hour blocks to make sure I keep focussed. I’ll normally do 50 minutes of producing and then allow myself 10 minutes to relax and then repeat. Not sure if this will help but might be worth a try!
Yes but also this doesn’t work for everyone. Charli xcx says on Zane Lowe that they worked together and she told him it just won’t work for her like that, she’s got to walk away and come back when it feels right for her.
Discipline like everything is a genetically transferred trait that people have in varying degrees! Your ability to develop is ultimately determined by that fact!
Having royal family ties is a muscle u have to train it and never even admit it anywhere, Fred just say: look I had a lot of help, im not here because i made it myself, if you want to listen to me still thanks a lot I appreciate u. but don’t use no covers in the underground with some earbuds as if ur parents were workingclass, it makes people think u assume they’re dumb
As a non professional i find it difficult to justify spending so long on a computer making music that only 100 people will end up hearing but if you don't finish music, you cant grow or get heard or maybe accidentally make the next hit.
@@Surge_DJ i really like the way you put it. To be clear I do make it for myself, I'm not trying to appeal to the masses or anything its just more a feeling of wasting time when days fly by and you've been on a computer. If that was paired with performance where you get out into the world and travel or you were just simply paid to do it and it was your career then it would be a lot easier to forgive constant days of sitting on a computer.
@@user-wp7zc1np9x No of course, I do make it for myself and it's a really good thing to check your intentions. I'm not sure if you'd be notified of a reply to a different comment but I explained what I mean it in this thread.
I was gonna say the same thing. He doesn’t have to work…. Cos of family funds…. Fair game and good on him for making the most of his position, he totally should. BUT it’s useful for people to realise the context of his advice. He I able to apply it freely and use all his motivation for one goal, instead of splitting it up between work etc.
Dumbest thing I heard. You do realize it's not about amount of hours you put into music but the consistency right? And for your excuses, guess what eveyone have problems. Even the so called people with rich families. And by your own logic Fred could just stay in his parent's house and not do anything in life while depending on parents since luckily he is supported by his family? Don't blame your own lack of discipline on someone giving a solid advice. If you want something really bad you work for it, you make time for it, you find ways for it. If you don't want something that bad you end up on TH-cam comments whining about a good advice you aren't even able to understand in the first place. If you Wanna practice music, then do it. Get better time management and I guarenteee you'll be able to spend atleast an hour and a half a day on music that's around 11 hours a week, 38-40 hours a month and that's bare minimum. If you spend less hours on internet complaining about how hard you have it and more hours actually practicing music that's even more hours you'd have but hey you chose to take the easy choice. That's lack of discipline In a nutshell
More like why you need to be an industry plant. Man's pencil drumming on the high school lunch table. And he's lauded as if he is a musical god. The guys talent is tantamount to a splice account. Hack, plant, nepotism. Should delete all the master files to his songs and throw the hardive into the ocean instead he's given the golden path to cochella headliner. Garbage music. Not fred again #neverfredagain
I have to be honest, I vaguely know him and his family has serious dollar and basically funded him to do his music full time. He didn’t have to work… soooo….. it’s kind of false advertising. A lot of people could do amazing if they didn’t have to work….. you still need discipline but… people should be transparent too.

I want to see Fred and Beardyman come together on something.
oh yeah man I agree - that would be sick!
Fred again is a monster
Yeah he’s the GOAT
What songs in the background
Hey Will! It’s called Catrin by Fred Again
Any advice for producers who have ADHD?
Dude that’s a tough one! I always try to work in hour blocks to make sure I keep focussed. I’ll normally do 50 minutes of producing and then allow myself 10 minutes to relax and then repeat. Not sure if this will help but might be worth a try!
What interview is this from?
His interview on the tape notes podcast - highly recommend you check it out!
Cool advice but the background music is a bit too much in the foreground, making it hard to follow
Thanks for the feedback - greatly appreciated!
what is this audio from?
Hey! This is from the Tape Notes podcast, I highly recommend you check it out!

Dude comes from generational wealth. That old money was sure able to grease a few wheels for him in the muic industry.
Yes but also this doesn’t work for everyone. Charli xcx says on Zane Lowe that they worked together and she told him it just won’t work for her like that, she’s got to walk away and come back when it feels right for her.
music college
does anyone else hear bear grylls
Hahah now you mention I do!
Also be a multi millionaire aristocrat.
💯
As a non professional i find it difficult to justify spending so long on a computer making music that only 100 people will end up hearing but if you don't finish music, you cant grow or get heard or maybe accidentally make the next hit.
Make it for yourself, not for others, and the rest will come
But you make music for fun and yourself though?

i really like the way you put it.
Posy boy
Thanks for the comment man!
I like Fred but All the years in these grammar schools and they still can’t articulate properly. “Like….its super inspiring….like….you know….like….”

not everyone has 14 hours to practice music, sorry. most people need to work to pay bills. Luckily, you are supported by your family.
In fairness, he was talking about being at music college where people *would* have time to play for 14 a day.
good job missing the point 🆒
The principle is the same...
nonsense
Oh you need discipline profound advice lmao
What is this copium
More like why you need to be an industry plant. Man's pencil drumming on the high school lunch table. And he's lauded as if he is a musical god. The guys talent is tantamount to a splice account.
Hack, plant, nepotism.
Should delete all the master files to his songs and throw the hardive into the ocean instead he's given the golden path to cochella headliner. Garbage music.
Not fred again
#neverfredagain
I have to be honest, I vaguely know him and his family has serious dollar and basically funded him to do his music full time. He didn’t have to work… soooo….. it’s kind of false advertising. A lot of people could do amazing if they didn’t have to work….. you still need discipline but… people should be transparent too.
